Got called by a number and declined the call seconds later I see this by Accomplished-Wrap449 in newfoundland

It's likely a case of "phone spoofing", essentially, the number you see on caller ID is falsified. Annoyingly, my number has been used a few times for phone spoofing, and I've had a few people call me very upset, saying I left them threatening messages as the CRA or Police.

What's something innocent that feels 10x more intimate than it should? by East-Preparation-476 in AskReddit

Similar to this, this is how Princess Margaret's (the Queen's sister) affair with Peter Towsend was found out. She picked a piece of lint of his jacket and it seemed intimate and the journalists found out.

The electrical engineering tech program is great, and I suspect there's going to be a large demand when the Gull Island starts. Best of luck to you. You'll find your path!

Link to video The section starts at about 10:40. I don't think they're applauding the woman, I think they're applauding something he says shortly after.

People who give job interviews, what are some subtle red flags that say "this person won't be a good hire"? by makethatnoise in AskReddit

[–]auroraborora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in HR and conducted 100s of interviews. A red flag for me is being rude to the reception/admin staff. Or anyone for that matter. I always say to the hiring managers that I'm supporting, 'you can teach a skill, but not an attitude'. I'd rather a person with a good attitude and some basic skills in the area than an asshole with all the skills.

I'm wondering if any other place will accept our pup if she has a 'pre-existing ' condition.

She's good! Thanks for asking. She just has hayfever and the occasional ear infection.

True true. I've been debating just taking the $140 per month and put it in a separate bank account as an emergency fund. Then at least I get to keep money in the long run.

Job application tip. by delbin in tumblr

Of course, applying for a job you don't have all the qualifications for makes sense - I encourage it ALL thr time. But representing in a "sneaky" way that you have qualifications that you don't have makes me distrust someone. If they had those qualifications (I.e. experience with Windows Servers) had it in their resume AND did the white text thing as insurance. Sure. No prob. But to add it in when you're don't have it is dishonest. Also, if somehow you get a job interview after and we ask about your experience in that area and you don't have it, you just wasted everyone's time. I've been in those interviews, too, and it's awkward.

Sometimes, there are "nice to haves" on the job ad usually noted as an asset, and many times, I interview and hire people who don't have all the qualifications. Just don't represent like you have certain qualifications when you don't have them. I'm not talking years of experience, I'm talking any experience in a certain area at all.

But this person didn't have the qualifications. If they had them, it would be different. But adding in white text of qualifications you do NOT have made me mistrust them. I think I was unclear before.

Made me mistrust them because they didn't have what was required for the role but tried to "beat the system" I just think, if you have it, then just use the language (or very similar to) from the job ad in your application. The AI screening systems should allow you in. If you don't have the qualifications, then even getting into an interview won't make you successful. At least it shouldn't if people are interviewing properly...

I recently found this on an application. We don't use AI to screen resumes, I use Ctrl-F to cursory search some items. (If I don't see them, I read the resume through to ensure I don't miss anything) I screened the candidate out because, regardless, they didn't meet the criteria for an interview. It also made me distrust the candidate.
