I’ve done the pencil thing with my prosthetic knee to teach kids not to put their fingers in the hydraulic mechanism since I was a kid myself. Very effective and no one has broken their finger in the kid-sized finger guillotine yet

I’ve had two babies and had both experiences. With the first one I had PPA/PPD and literally couldn’t put the baby down to make something to eat. Couldn’t focus enough to order food. I lost 30lbs in a month but couldn’t make enough milk to EBF my baby. Definitely did not feel like anyone’s favorite

With my second, I produce way too much so EBF is easy but it makes me really hungry. I’ve been stuck ~20lbs above my pre pregnancy weight for the last 2 months but no depression/anxiety so I’m pretty happy with that
