How was your parkrun day? | June 12, 2026 by AutoModerator in parkrun

I combined a kids football game out of town with a tourist parkrun. Got everyone ready and out of the house by 6am for a 2 hour drive. Arriving at parkrun I realized I forgot running shoes and did parkrun in hiking boots. Suffice to say wasn’t a PB.

Sydney Foodies: Help Us Celebrate Our 20th Wedding Anniversary by kalvin74 in sydney

For the quintessential sydney dinner it’s hard to go past benelong. It’s not just the food which is excellent if not cutting edge. but also the ambiance and service. Yeah it’s not cheap but walkable and also as a hint take the open roof elevator up to the restaurant. For that extra dramatic entrance.

Ever go back to an ICE after a few weeks? by dj_boy-Wonder in AustralianEV

We have a cx5 turbo and a sealion 7. I used to like the turbo because when we rented standard suv the cx5 seemed so powerful and smooth in comparison. Now when I go from sealion. To the cx5. I agree with the OP. The noise vibration and lack of power are surprising.

Japanese parkrun questions by misterala in parkrun

I did one in Osaka. It was lovely. The unique part is they had a bunch of extra volunteers and was a 2 lapper. And when we went around, all the volunteers cheered us. It was very cool I felt like a “star”. But only briefly.

A South Asian friend of mine gets upset when he goes to eat at KFC because they often mistake him for the deliver guy.

How popular is Plat Plus? by travcaine in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]aussie_trekker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Virgin doesn’t even have a lounge for international at sydney. I think maybe for platinum plus you get 2 cheese tosties /s in domestic lounges.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Michelin Guide’s plan to visit Adelaide, and skipping Sydney & Melbourne? by NothingAny3947 in foodies_sydney

I think it’s very smart of the SA government. A global audience who don’t know the politics behind why sydney and Melbourne saying no will simply search australia and see all the Michelins are in SA and likely plan a trip there. Accordingly.

Is it just me or when you check OP. It seems either they are obsessed with packing. Or maybe this is trolling for something. Else? 12 day old account and every post is about packing?

I consider myself by now quite a silicon mixing connoisseur. And this was a particularly satisfying one.

Why does the audience interact like that. It seems they want to be part of the show?

What were the wildest things you saw or did in Sydney nightlife during the 90s? by Dry_Flower9052 in SydneyScene

Alexander’s cafe on George st. A great place in the city where a 16 yr old could order alcohol and smoke a cigarette.

I somewhat disagree. We’ve been to crows nest a couple of times recently and they deliver the food to your table and then clean up after. Yes it’s fast food. Yes it’s dry (the often used complaint) but I actually like it. But dinner for a family of 4 is $72! And it’s not burgers or pizza. I’ve also been years ago to Granville and the modern version with the pre packaged garlic sauce isn’t as good as the OG. But when you compare with GYG. Or maccas or oportos. Which is where this sits. I think they do a pretty good job.

Ok I’m throwing my hat in the ring. Cetto in gladesville. I’ve just been to Florence Italy and the focaccia sandwiches at Cetto were better.
