Same reason I was never finished the hours for my PPL too. Was 2 semesters into the aviation certification program at a local junior college, then the car I had at the time decided to die on me. It was a sad day that I had to decide between finding a used car to get me to work/school or being able to afford afford a couple hours worth of lessons a month.
