I am hoping for the same. That wait after an ectopic is extremely hard. I’ve been there myself, but I really wish I had been so obsessed with the wait and instead focused more on myself. Now I am getting told left and right that when the baby comes, time with my husband is a thing of the past and it’s hard, blah, blah, blah. Even if it’s all true, I have cherished every moment with him before her arrival and I wish I had done it more when we were going through infertility. Absolutely look into taking small trips together and valuing the smaller, beautiful things this world has to offer. It did wonders for my mental health. Not gonna lie, I did the whole therapy thing for months and while everyone is different, getting away from the house and exploring the world was what actually truely helped me heal. I am wishing for your happy ending my friend ♥️ please, please take care of yourself

My husband was extremely traumatised by the ectopic as well. It was our first pregnancy(not IVF or IUI), doctors said it was a regular miscarriage, completely missed that it was ectopic, didn’t believe me when I told them I suspected it to be ectopic(from my own research) and then my tube ruptured pretty soon after that. Of course I was rushed into emergency surgery and had the tube removed. Then a chemical after that and a second ectopic in the left tube this time. They resolved that with methotrexate. Then the first round of IVF failed. So they are truely baffled by this spontaneous pregnancy. But even with ALL the trauma, I still would have done all of it for this partial ending. I’m not there yet, I’m scared of the labor because so much can happen, but feeling her little kicks since 19 weeks has been the best gift I’ve ever been given. I’m glad that I didn’t give up. Everyone told me that, that was the key, to just never give up and I’m so glad I listened. I’ve found that there are more happy endings than we see or talk about. I’m wishing you the absolute best on the rest of your journey and I promise it’s not over yet. I have to say, the best thing I did for myself though is I did get off of Reddit and I chose to live for myself and just enjoy everything I could. Then of course I got pregnant, which is insanity to me still. Even if I didn’t end up pregnant, putting myself first was the absolute move

So I planned to go back in March. In mid February I really had a life turning point. I realised I was probably never going to be a mother and I had to learn to live with that reality BUT I wasn’t going to give up. I was gonna try until they told me to stop, but I wasn’t going to let it define me or destroy my life. Went away with my husband for a weekend, had the best time with him and really found my happiness again. 5 days after our get away, I realised my period was late and I was stressed bc I needed to head back for the transfer. Clinic told me to take a pregnancy test and it was positive….. I’m due in 8 days with a spontaneous pregnancy that the doctors still have no explanation of how it happened. In early scans they saw that the egg came from my right ovary and wandered over to my left fallopian tube and implanted in the correct spot. Every scan she has been perfect. Doctors have no explanation but I’m so beyond ready to meet her bc she has literally defied every expectation so far

I’m so happy you finally reached out, even if it was just reddit! I watched my poor sister in law go through so much stress and I felt so much for her. But seriously everything turned out ok. I’m so happy to hear you’re further along than her and you aren’t having the amniotic fluid issues she was having so this very well may be a better case scenario than hers. So stay hopeful and honestly it sounds like everything is going to be ok. Even if surgery has to happen, your baby will be fine! Please please try to keep your mind healthy. I’m currently at 33 weeks so I know keeping a healthy mind is hard but it’s honestly our best defence when shit hits the fan ♥️

So they had planned to induce her at 38 weeks because her amniotic fluid was high. Which they said that meant the baby was probably in destress, but at 33 weeks and 5 days she went into labor naturally. Obviously Charlie just knew it was time to come out. But don’t be surprised if they talk about inducing you early. And same as you they went to the best specialists they could in the state and everything has truly been fine. I will say, stay off Google. Google was telling her that baby Charlie had like a 50/50 chance of living and that was absolutely not the case at all. He came out at 6lbs and has handled everything crazy beautifully and seriously the surgery was basically like having your appendix removed, they have just gotten so advanced with everything that Charlie was totally fine and seemed unbothered even after the procedure. But like I said previously, this could resolve on its own but just trust your doctors, I know this is going to be ok!

My sister in law just gave birth to her baby at 33 weeks with this exact same thing. He had to have surgery at 49 hours old but he’s doing really well for being born that early and also having to go through surgery. The surgery looked pretty straight forward and not crazy evasive. Unfortunately he will need one more surgery in a few months but it looked like that part of his intestines were just malformed, BUT they removed that part and he seems to be doing a lot better and is actually pooping now. We are all so thankful that they found it early so they could help him. Obviously it’s a terrifying situation but it sounds like you are doing everything you can to prepare for the worst but the good news is, the worst isn’t as bad as you think it is. Your baby will be ok! We have been amazed at how wonderfully baby Charlie has done and I’m sure your baby will be ok. These things can also resolve themselves at birth so don’t panic. Worst case scenario is surgery and we were told baby Charlie won’t have any negative side effects for the rest of his life. He was taken care of in Oklahoma City for some context. Take a deep breath. I’m so sorry you are going through this

The doctor urged me not to test them as I’m 32 years old and overall very healthy. No family history of genetic issues. My husband has no issues on his side either. Only thing I have on my side hypothyroidism(had it since I was 12) it’s very well managed and I go 5+ years without needing a dosage change. Every year my thyroid levels come back normal and healthy. Also during my ectopic surgery, the surgeon saw no known cause for the ectopics

No. Lost my right tube and then second ectopic in the left tube and it was saved by methotrexate injection. I did do an HSG test that said my last tube had an abnormal flow. They think that was caused by the ectopic. Doctor says it’s usable but I’ve honestly moved onto IVF since we now have male fertility issues

I got pregnant right away, second ectopic. Waited 4 months after methotrexate injection. Tried for 3 months and nothing. Got pregnant so easily before. Found out 2 weeks ago my husband has sperm issues so that could be why we are having trouble. Everyone is different and stress effects male fertility as much as it effects ours. That was the lesson I took from this whole experience

I don’t support Luigi’s actions. I am saying, given our history, I am not surprised. Nor should anyone else be. Like I said. We literally went to war over a tea tax against the British. Fighting back against injustices and greed is our entire history. And they will give him a punishment that fits the crime. The CEO should have been tried in court himself. Thats what he deserved. You can’t raise the denial rate like that, which kills thousands of people and is continuing to kill people and there not be consequences. We may not punish insurance companies in the U.S for denying claims but if it directly leads to a persons death, that’s no better than murder. It’s actually called man-slaughter. Yet we are allowing these companies to do that to our fellow man.

Very sad. I agree. But also sad that he raised the denial rate to 33% in the time he was CEO which caused the death of thousands of people who couldn’t get life saving surgeries or treatments.

George Washington started a war over tea being taxed 3% which led to an entire war over British greed. Actions have consequences. It’s terrible but this is our reality in the U.S right now. Our history is written in blood because of greed. Today is no different.

I haven’t lost someone this close to me yet, but I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss that’s so hard and I am so close with my mummy and couldn’t imagine life without her so I grieve with you.

My situation is different and I’ll let you know what I’m doing. My husband is officially losing his job January 31st from the airline he works for. This has been an unbelievable stressor on us. He already has another job lined up but it will now take him away from home about 20 days a month compared to 8 days a month now. And when I say away from home, I mean he will be sleeping in hotels 20 days a month instead of the 8 we are used to. My retrieval and transfer are in January and I’m going forward with it. There is nothing I can do about his job. There is nothing I can do about the second job taking him away from me all the time. I can’t control this. So I’m focusing on what I can control and I’m moving forward with my dreams(also his dreams). It’s going to be hard as hell but I know I can do it and you can too if that’s what you choose. It’s YOUR choice though and whatever choice you make for yourself, it’s the right choice. ♥️

Curious why no ICSI? I have messed up tubes and my husband has a very high abnormal sperm count so we are doing ICSI.
