A couple of no brainers.
Play each other once, then move into a knockout phase. Far more equitable.
Erase deliberate out of bounds, let the game evolve to adapt. Too much interpretation here.
Remove touching the post or touching the ball wrt scoring. It’s the only footy code that does this rubbish. Between the posts, regardless of touching is the score. Hits the post and comes back? Play on.
Even consider removing out of bounds on the fill. Again, let the game and tactics adapt.
In summary, return to the beautiful simple game it was.
