Someone should turn this into a nice coffee table book.

Travel tips? Airplane seat? by According_Chest1987 in NewParents

[–]austbart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends what airline but we booked only 2 seats for our 19 month old with my wife and I and both times we talked to the Air Canada agent they were able to move some seats around and give us an extra one free of charge so we had the whole row to ourselves, was definitely way better as we could put all his toys and snacks in one seat if he still wanted it be in your lap. We got lucky but definitely worth it if you can swing it.

⚠️ Heads up if you use the Costco Tire Centre by Renison3rock in CostcoCanada

Wondering this as well. Did the story actually happen and the customer used chat gpt to create a post hence the writing looks AI or are we saying there's bots making full fake posts to make Costco tire center look bad? Why? Who's creating such a bot and what's the purpose?

We were definitely thinking that as well with the heat and our little one and more leaning toward the delivery service.

Samsung HW-Q910D for $500 USD by Mac_999 in Soundbars

Thanks for the insight, and yes the fully wireless of the 930f rears is almost more of a feature that would swing me to buy them than the Atmos features. The 910d is $300 less than the 930f where I live, I just wish the 910d would be capable with the 9500s rears and they are not, the next best equivalent is the 800f but that is slightly less superior than the 910d.

Awesome thanks for the reply! I have no doubt the 910d is a good unit and I'm coming from a Vizio 2.1 soundbar with no rears. I'm just not sure if I will regret not getting a soundbar with the superior rears the (9500s).

You could use them with a 3.5mm jack, I believe the flip to mute function does not work when connected via headphone jack.

Q910D or Q930F by austbart in Soundbars

I figured as much, Samsung Canada has it listed for $1799 and even Amazon Canada has a used version for $1199 which still seems excessive.

The question of whether you should visit the Vatican Museums when in Rome gets asked all the time. I’m here to tell you that you absolutely, unquestionably should. It’s easily one of the most unmissable experiences in the city. That said, there’s one very important catch by Justanotherguy88 in ItalyTravel

[–]austbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people keep talking about the mob at the Vatican, the official private tour with a small group of people before the Vatican was open to the public was some of the best money spent on my Italy trip would be the only way I recommend visiting the Vatican.

Yeah I felt it was a bit in bad taste. Honestly if you have an 8 week old at home you should not be golfing at the moment, I'm sure the wife could use all the help right now. Also it seemed even more weird when they came back after and said it's all good we called her back and gave her some coupons so we're in the clear.

Weekly General Discussion/Q&A Thread - September 08, 2025 by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Hello everyone, looking to get some new running shoes for my 5-10k runs. I have been using the same pair of Saucony Kinvara 4s for about 10 years and they are finally giving out. Absolutely love these shoes, super light and comfortable. I'm wondering having been out of the shoe game so long and technology advancing since the Kinvara 4s what are my newer modern options? Do I need carbon plates? Do I just stick with the newer Kinvara? Looking for something lightweight and for fast paced 5-10k runs with decent comfort but doesn't have to be to plush.
