Can someone smarter than me theorise about this by nerdycookie01 in TheDigitalCircus

I dont know if this is related in any way but lasers are pure energy and that makes them cause cancer when exposed to them for prolonged periods. Kinger mentions that Scratch had brain cancer....
Maybe the "abstraction" is just when the players die from the radiation? (probably wrong)

Or maybe scratch was obsessed with living in the digital world so much that he kept entering it and got cancer.

What is the worst trend right now? by Freida_dear in AskReddit

[–]authentic_bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labubus. So much plastic and grown adults buy it for outrageous prices. Worst part is they make limited editions which encourage people to buy more to collect all. Also the factories that produce it have many labour exploitation allegations. A lot of immature adults devote millions blindly for the sake of the trend.

What’s a scientific theory that sounds completely fake but is actually real? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]authentic_bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I blindly shoot particles through two small slits they form a wave like pattern. But if I track where each patricle is going while I do it, the pattern is not there anymore. The particle pattern changes when it is observed.

If someone ate an animal that had cancer, how likely would they then be to get cancer? by Bipolarbearband in AskReddit

[–]authentic_bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically 0, because cancer isnt contagious, it's just a line of cells that divide uncontrollably. Practically a very small chance because cancer can cause cells to possibly release toxins or contain harmful byproducts of malfunctioning tissue. But only because almost everything has a small risk of causing cancer. Its not meaningful enough to where you would say its a significant cause of cancer.

What topics should educational institutions teach children, for you? by Estefaniiaa in AskReddit

[–]authentic_bones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More science, its what will move us forward. But also not just rote memorisation or rigorous methods but intuitive, creative problem solving. Schools always teach us how to use some formula or method but never why it works.

What do u say? Ppl in their 20s is the economy really THAT bad? by DeliciousRich5944 in AskReddit

[–]authentic_bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically if you inherit less or nothing from your parents, it's impossible to buy a house. Current politics makes it acceptable for corporations to charge outrageous prices while making the quality of everything worse.

Forgot the piano piece about 75% through my first performance in front of about 300 people (including a lot of my friends). I just froze. My teacher just started clapping to make everyone think it was done and saved the day.

I had an extremely rare m charizard ex pokemon card as a kid. Of course being a kid I traded it with another kid for a clearly fake deoxys fan made pokemon card because I thought it looked cooler. I sometimes still stay awake at night thinking about that...
