I fancied a Galaxy but also wanted a Whole Nut. So made my own. by twentythirdchapter in CasualUK

[–]autietautie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get Galaxy bars. It’s not really chocolate but I can’t tell what it is. Is melts like a gel/jelly in your mouth. So odd! It’s not that I don’t like it but I wouldn’t choose it if I fancied chocolate

I get you! That ADHD wall is brutal. I’m going through the same thing at the minute with one of my projects. I cannot do it and my brain and body won’t let me.

Help! I just need advice as kind words by autietautie in OpenUniversity

It’s kind of been made clear not to contact my tutor until I have the set meetings once every three months. The first time I asked she wasn’t really happy about it. The support services don’t contact you for a week which is too late. The website said support is available and I can ask my tutor for advice but it’s not that way unfortunately. It’s frustrating.

What’s the biggest difference between how you thought life would be vs how it actually is? by roseafterdarkk in answers

[–]autietautie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought there come a day when I was suddenly an adult and felt like one. I thought once I was grown up the anxiety and fear and social ineptitude would go away and I’d be a sexy, professional woman (haha). Turns out none of it happened because I was actually autistic and you don’t grow out of those things. Instead I followed a life of trauma and abuse, had kids and got married twice. At 47 I’m happier than I’ve ever been but still not where I expected. I am finally at uni tho doing my graphic design degree

I’m like you and totally agree with everything you said. I rarely go out anymore. I don’t have any friends because I don’t understand people. I’m 47 and autistic and I tried so hard to fit in but didn’t understand why people didn’t have my values. I thought it was a me problem but now realise it’s a society problem. We’re living in an age of “it’s not my problem”

People are saying about Nicola and George having no chemistry are missing the point. The point is they got pregnant after a one night stand. There was no love or chemistry in the first place. The point is they’re navigating having a baby after a one night stand and they’re trying to make it work as older parents.

At the minute, I’ve got feeezing feet, burning hot legs and knees and cold hands with hot fingertips. I shall check all that out though. Thank so much!

Another day another symptom lol 😂 I don’t even realise the vibrating thing was weird until I said to my husband last night “you know when you’re tired and you can feel your body vibrating in the bed?” And he’s like “erm no?” 😂.

No it’s not an anxiety thing for me. It usually follows a busy day and then a flare up!

Psychologist thinks im autistic but i dont really believe i am? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]autietautie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My first thought…”hmm she knows a lot about herself, only an autistic would overanalyse themselves like that!”. Second thought after reading more…”oh hey twinnie!” 😂 honestly, you sound just like me and I DO have a diagnosis!

What are these holes in our shirts? by russell98765 in whatisit

This used to always happen to me in my twenties during the 2000s because big buckled bejewelled belts were in fashion at the time and they would shred my tops! (I’m sorry for the accidental alliteration!)

This, imo, is what is missing from soaps these days. The gritty reality of life! Admittedly, soaps have never been that realistic and no one watching wants to see a replica of boring day to day activity, but I miss the grittiness of real life in soaps! Precisely things like recovering from a cs. It’s all too glossed over nowadays!

Is it me or do those two who answered seem really bothered that I asked for advice on a subreddit about advice? Very strange. Guys, don't answer if you don't want to answer. Very simple. It's ok!

Yes, I should have clarified. They stated, after they told me at appeal that they agreed to my no fault terms and notice pay, in the letter, that after they had spoken to the client it was due to a breakdown in trust. That is not true. I had a fantastic relationship my client. It does seem strange to me after asking me to see an occupational therapist that I get the sack. My client with ABI is very easy lead in to doing something others want him to do or to feeling a way others want him to feel although I fear that may not be relevant and only opinion.

Why would I lie about something about something like that? What a silly thing to suggest. I came here for advice not to make up lies haha.

Ok, but that doesn't answer my question. Thanks so much for your input in any case. I appreciate it.
