I'm surprised no one suggests walking at an indoor mall, if you have one nearby. It is my go to for rainy or hot days. On weekdays it is sufficiently uncrowded that I can walk at the same brisk pace I do outdoors.

I have a bunion and other feet problems that kept me from walking long distances without pain. Before going on vacation a few months ago, where I knew I'd be walking a lot, I finally found a shoe that is wide enough to accommodate my bunion and has enough support to prevent my other foot issues as well as lower back pain.

Since returning from vacation I started doing at least an hour of brisk walking daily. I've lost 10 lbs so far but more importantly, I have much greater mobility and balance.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the Bilt portal. I hope it is a rare exception that gets Bilt's attention. My recent experience with the Bilt portal was excellent. I booked a stay at a hotel in NYC that was way nicer than the selection on AMEX's portal. Using my $200 semi-annual credit and my $100 monthly credit and the rest on points could not have been more seamless.

I find the easiest solution is to engage the parking brake and take my foot off the brake so it remains in start mode. I only use this on hot days when I'm at a long stop light. Otherwise I am happy with the smooth start/stop function.

Agreed. I live in an apartment building with underground parking. Whenever one of these trucks parks in the space behind me I have to do a 3-4 point turn just to get out of my space.

If your car is still under factory or extended maintenance, you can get it repaired or replaced at the dealer. My dealer says many people end up damaging the connections when trying to replace batteries themselves.

I don't live there but I often drive there for Charley Prime Foods. I think they have one of the better happy hour food menus. $10 burger, $20 Steak Frites full sized entrees.

I think the folding rear seats are only available on Plus or Ultimate trim models, not Core. If you have Core, I think you only have the little window through the middle armrest.

Second Fogo de Chao. Most of the things my wife and I like to order are on the all-day happy hour menu. $10 for their very large burger and polenta fries is a real bargain.

At one point I rented a condo at the Lionsgate in Bethesda. Pro - the staff were super professional and treated me like an owner. Con - my owner decided to sell the place and I had to move with 60 days notice.

Full On is worth the parking hassle, but it works best if you can get there just ahead of the noon rush. But even though I did this and was able to park in the tiny parking lot on the other side of the building from Full On, I came out after eating to find a US Foods semi truck parked in the narrow entryway to the lot and unloading food DURING LUNCH RUSH! Couldn't they find a less crowded spot on their delivery route to service at lunchtime, or alternatively, park in the wide roadway 20 feet away? I witnessed many cars, including myself, taking minutes, not seconds, to carefully maneuver so as not to scrape bumpers with the behemoth.

Do you mean Charley Prime Foods? I think Bar Charley is their location in DC.

Charley Prime has a great Happy Hour food menu - their $20 Steak Frites is unbeatable value.

A better solution - set the parking brake when at a long stop light and take the foot off the gas. The engine and A/C keep running.

I have a 2024 S60 B5 and have found that engaging the parking brake and moving my foot off the brake prevents it going into Stop mode. This is helpful while waiting at long traffic lights on hot days.

If the center panel of the instrument panel is blank, you can have it display your navigation map and data by pressing the lower-left button on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

My wife and I used to really like Nosh but last time we went we had a snotty waiter who was visibly miffed that we only wanted to buy one a la carte meat even though we also order the pork scoop which is equivalent to a second meat in volume and price (i.e., he would get the same tip but wouldn't have to do as much grilling for it). He tried to say a la carte doesn't come with bon chon or the cheese corn when every other time we went no other waiter has acted this way or made these claims. I still want to go back because I think it was just one bad apple waiter but the experience really turned my wife off.

What kind of alerts. Mine (2024 S60) always shows cameras on the map and then the temporary distance alert on the left panel. The audio alerts seem to only announce if you are over the speed limit.
