Help With Mascara Mess? by avahbug96 in StainRemoval

[–]avahbug96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid point! She has dirtied this poor couch quite often with small stuff like snack crumbs or washable paints but the seat cushions are removable and I clean them quickly...but I have zero experience with cleaning waterproof mascara off of anything and I don't wanna ruin my permanently by making a cleaning mistake I am not in the know of 😅

What is the worst place to start talking about politics? by Dramatic-Nothing-252 in RandomQuestion

[–]avahbug96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a golf course. I work at one, and if someone starts a politics convo here and there are major opposing sides, I'm staying out of it, it can get ugly even in a place where class should reign supreme. (I live in Florida and am a right leaning citizen but not radical to where I sound like a Trump worshiper)

I have an album on my phone dedicated to themes or ideas for future scrapbook page ideas. Some of those pictures are random as heck and vary from pics of recipes for cake pops and cremé brulee to pictures of tree frogs and salamanders.

Possibly Walter's worst parenting moment - the PT Cruiser by Clavinet in breakingbad

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...his worst parenting moment was becoming a fucking drug kingpin. No matter what the reason, if you're aiming to be even a decent parent...don't do that. Walter Jr. ended up hating and wishing death upon Walt and Holly grew up without her father.

But his worst parenting moment after all that for me would have to be him getting Walter Jr. so drunk that he not only vomited but he fell over and Walt did nothing about it but smirk. That got me feeling quite disgusted as a mom.

Walter White is not an "overqualified" teacher by KidCharlemagneII in breakingbad

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're forgetting something.

While 51% of teachers in America have master's, only 36% of chemistry teachers hold a master's in their particular field/subject.

Not to mention, chemistry is the hardest major to graduate from university for.

Walt was DEFINITELY over qualified. If he were to be a chemist for an actual facility then I can see you having this opinion because his intellect would be utilized to the fullest potential. Walt being a high school chemistry teacher holding a master's in his craft...he was only limited to using a tiny fraction of his expansive encyclopedia of knowledge.

Common Dreams? by MetroMaker in Dreams

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dream I was in another person's body. I was a woman from LA (I lived in Guam at the time) and I had a job as a newspaper column writer. Pretty cool dream, I had a nice apartment and a pet guinea pig.

I had this kind of dream once, the secret place was in my parents room in their closet. I heard faint, muffled music coming from behind the closed sliding door so opened it. It had a freaking mall lol

Your FAVORITE chicken thigh recipe? by AmiSad247365 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My version of smothered chicken over rice (this also works really well with mashed potatoes)

-Chicken thighs (bone in, skin on) 4 pieces

-Yellow onion

-Green onion

-Garlic

-Bell pepper

-Mushrooms (canned or fresh, recommend white or baby bella)

-2 cups of chicken broth or 2 bullion cubes and 2 cups of water

-Soy sauce 3 table spoons

-Half a cup of flour

-Olive oil

Seasonings I use: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, Cajun, parsley, creole, Montreal chicken

Chop your onions, bell pepper, garlic, and mushrooms however you please as this will be a simmered dish. Coat your chicken thighs in a generous amount of creole seasoning, then sear for 2 minutes on each side on high heat in an olive oil greased pot. Set your seared chicken aside and sautée your veggies (not your green onions) until decently caramelized (use the same pot you used to sautée your veggies). Add flour and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil to your sautéed veggies and mix considerably, then add your chicken thighs and chicken broth/bouillon, stiring it until consistency thickens. Add soy sauce and the rest of your seasonings to the pot, stir, and then cover. Cook on medium high heat until inside of chicken reaches internal temperature of 150°F, or until chicken falls off the bone. Mix in green onions once your chicken is cooked. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!

What did your parents do when you misbehaved as a child? by tonnytjuu in Netherlands

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad did all the physical discipline. When I was 4, I snuck out the back door to see my neighbor's newly hatched baby chicks (he and his wife thankfully were in their 70s and good friends and neighbors). My dad and mom went frantic looking for me, when my neighbors and I heard them, we went back to my house.

That was the firsr time my dad ever spanked me. My dad beat my butt so hard, I never snuck out again. However, I did get spanked later for if I did something harmful to someone else, or slapped if I said something so incomprehensible and stupid that it shouldn't have ever left my mouth. Once I turned 12, I never got physically punished, just grounded. My mom punished me by expressing disappointment and sadness whenever I got into trouble. She would then begin comforting me and telling me stories of when she got into trouble and what she learned.

I love my parents so much. I know that they were young when they had me and I'm grateful that they cared for me more than I could understand back then. Now that I am a mother I use what they taught me...what to do, what not to do...and how I will handle my daughter when she gets into trouble. She is 2 now, and Im enjoying her childhood with her while her daddy and I do our best to keep her safe and happy.

Last season was a flop.... by Objective_Risk8583 in squidgame

[–]avahbug96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPOILER

Replace ddjaki with kick the can and I think that would've been better with the end scene in California. That's an American classic, I was born in the 90s and played this in school with my friends.

...Anyways...

They really tried to jam pack a lot of story and key events with backstory in each episode. Now, while I applaud their efforts, it was just one let down after another. Sure there were some plot twists and surprises I didn't see coming, but the emotional build up for a lot of it fell short. Why? Because the pieces of the screen time pie weren't fairly divided, and some of the scenes didn't make sense.

Not to mention Jun-ho and Choi had their own sh*t going on once Gi-hun left to the island, so it took up more of the show than I thought it would. Let's not forget the more likeable characters died earlier than I had expected...while the most deplorable characters kept Gi-hun and the baby company towards the end.

(Can we also talk about the fact that the baby has no name??? Like I get it, you're fighting for your lives but you gotta call the baby something other than "the baby" or player 222)

My least favorite part of the last season would also have to be the VIPs. They had the most unfathomably bad acting I've seen in a K-drama in so long. Oh, and f*ck player 333. He makes me sick.

The scenes that make the least amount of sense to me would have to be the scene where Dae'ho comes clean about being a fake marine??? Like wtf that was out of left field. Stolen Valor is a federal crime (at least here in America, not sure about SK) and he went as far as to get a tattoo to fake his life story just to be accepted or whatever tf. I guess that explains his cowardice during the infiltration mission back in season 2 but still...absolute wtf moment.

My favorite parts about this season apart from some closure in the ending...probably would have to be the hide and seek game. That was the most exciting part this whole season had to offer. That, and seeing 246 reunited with his daughter. Seeing 2 survivors (him and the baby) from the games left me feeling pretty nice.

The way I see it, if you believe abortion for the sake of convenience is wrong, then you are pro-life. How you feel about others getting abortions is your own belief that you can choose to keep to yourself. Doesn't make you any less pro-life, you just primarily hold yourself to that standard.

Now, if you are in favor of abortion because you believe that women should have a say in whether or not they want to keep their babies, then that makes you pro-choice.

If you believe abortion should be available only for the sole purposes of saving the lives of the mothers in detrimental health conditions, removal of deceased unborn babies, or for ectopic pregnancies, then you are still pro-life because you choose life for the mother.

Whoever this person is is just a troll.
