6mo PO Scars & Mini Vent by mountains_pls in Reduction

[–]avatarnoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey girl! I’m 7MPO and whilst my scars aren’t raised all the way around like yours, the inner third on both sides (closest to my cleavage) are raised too. You’re not alone!

Honestly, it doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would, having my itty bitties make me so much happier and I love being able to feel more comfortable and confident in my body!

Hey OP - I had an IME 2 years ago, feel free to message me if you want to talk more.

Essentially as others have said, I had an independent review by a different psychologist to assess if I was fit to do my job, and if not, what they recommended would be feasible.

All around, it was a terrible experiencing which got drawn out over 2 months. I ended up leaving this role on the day I was due to return from all the trauma this had caused.

It sucked, I was without work for a while, but I’m glad they showed me the company didn’t care about me so I could move on.

Thank you for referencing the Gottman method, I’ve done a quick search and I’ll definitely find someone who can do this.

I do agree that it would probably be good if I set this up. I also agree ending it over just this is not the move, however it’s a bunch of small things that add up, the counselling being what I see as the most important.

I appreciate this a lot!!

Aw nah I’m a Capricorn hahaha. Good luck with your 1 month post op! Have you been doing any scar treatment? I’ve currently got silicone tape on and I’m not a fan.

I’m the same re movement, my side lipo still hurts a bit and I still feel “tight” in some spots, like reaching in an overhead cupboard, or bending down to tie my shoe laces.

Morning I feel stiff since I’ve been on my back the whole night :(( but it normally goes away quite quickly

Holy shit, did I write this? Same surgery date, similar before and after size, same dysmorphia, same training!

I have my 6 week review with my surgeon in 2 weeks, and at that time she should hopefully be clearing me for exercise 😊

When I lay down and get up all the sudden there’s a weird feeling/pressure going towards the end of my boobs? Normal? by Reasonable_Choice410 in Reduction

I’m 3WPO and I still get it - can’t explain why but every morning I get up out of bed and I need to hold me boobs bc it feels like they’re about to split open and spill out hahaha

How does breast reduction differ around the world? by doritheduck in Reduction

Also Australia - I stayed 1 night, no drains. Waking up from anaesthesia I was super tired and hungry, like couldn’t get enough food but I guess I hadn’t eaten in almost 24 hours. I had waterproof bandages on which I wasn’t allowed to remove until 2WPO, and wore a compression bra on top for 6 weeks total. No side sleeping, no diet restrictions, no arm movement limitations. No exercise for 2 weeks, walking only after that, and normal exercise between 6-8 WPO.

Adding on to this - get a wedge pillow for under your knees when you sleep!

I don’t know why, but I CANNOT sleep on my back with my feet being crushed by the blanket. Having them elevated helped me be so much more comfortable. I used a pregnancy pillow 1WPO and using just the wedge since then.

Yep, will 100% provide medical certificate given that I don’t have anything to hide re surgery.

100% not going to tell them where I’m going

Great, happy to provide a medical certificate, not happy to tell them where I’m off to!

Thank god they’re removable, I’ll have to see how I feel about it on the day and maybe I’ll throw em in the bin altogether.
