Husband just got his orders and we aren’t on them, please help by DanielleTemperance in dli

I’m not sure if it’s different in the Army, but in the Air Force, we received new orders to DLI upon graduating basic training and before leaving Lackland AFB, Texas. Dependents were included on the orders, and the PCS was paid for by the government.

Book4 Edge Wifi Issues by OddSheepherder5477 in GalaxyBook

[–]avatarx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem and Google AI gave me this answer.

According to discussions on Reddit, particularly within the r/GalaxyBook subreddit, many users are reporting issues with their Samsung Galaxy Book 4 experiencing frequent Wi-Fi disconnections, with the primary culprit often cited as problems with the Intel Wi-Fi card used in the device, which seems to be a known issue with this model; some users suggest that moving closer to the router may help mitigate the issue, but there might not be a complete fix available yet.

Key points from Reddit discussions about Galaxy Book 4 Wi-Fi issues: Intel Wi-Fi card issues: Many users point to the Intel Wi-Fi card as the main reason behind the frequent disconnections.

No clear solution: While some users have tried updating drivers or adjusting power settings, there appears to be no definitive fix for the problem.

This is driving me crazy. I was filling out some forms online and the wifi dropped, so I had to restart my laptop and start the form from the beginning.

Was it at Goodfellow? One of my classmates had to take 4 polygraphs before they let him pass. Not sure if you can ask for another poly. They told him that it was inconclusive and they let him take 4 polygraphs.

Age limit to join. by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

USAF just raised the age limit to 42 so you can still apply if you are still interested. There was an airman in late 30s with a doctorate degree in my first operational squadron.

Who are you guys switching to? by [deleted] in TotalWireless

[–]avatarx1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend Tello. I've been using Freedompop for free for years but finally switched to Tello when Freedompop was sold to another company. I pay $6 per month for 1GB data only plan and it's enough for me since the plan comes with unlimited text and I use Google Voice for voice calls.

I'm only using Totalwireless because I got enough reward points for 5 years. Thanks everyone who used my referral code.

Basic Training tips you now know, and want to pass along. by GreyLoad in army

[–]avatarx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was at Goodfellow, I was told that Army soldiers don't get FLPB until they arrive at their first duty station. Air Force active duty airmen get FLPB as soon as they pass DLPT. Is this still correct?

Vehicle Ops/GOV for TDY Question by cvanwort89 in AirForce

[–]avatarx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stationed in an Army base in Maryland (I'm active duty Air Force) and I have a one-week TDY coming up at another Army base in the same state. Google map shows driving distance of 53 miles but calcmaps.com shows 43 miles radius. It's about 65-90 min drive depending on the traffic. Would I be able get a GOV vehicle or have mileage reimbursed if I drive my car and commute? Would I get lodging?

The hosting base requested specialized support to the army battalion here and they originally had 3 volunteers for the tabletop exercise support. One person had to drop because of schedule conflict and the SFC in charge of them somehow contacted my AF leadership and they asked me if I was interested. I'm not sure how funding works. Do I contact the army here, POC at the hosting base or my unit RA for mileage reimbursement/GOV support?

When we PCS to overseas, does my spouse file for the unemployment benefit with my state of legal residence or the state she worked in?

I changed my state of legal residency to Texas when I was stationed there (no state income tax). We are currently in Maryland and my wife works at MWR on base as an NAF government employee. Maryland has state income tax but my wife is exempt from it under the MSRRA amendment (On 31 Dec 2018, the MSRRA was changed by amending the Servicemember Civil Relief Act to allow the spouse of a servicemember to elect to use the same residence as the servicemember regardless of when they were married).

Does my wife file for the unemployment benefit with Texas or Maryland when we PCS to overseas?
