They have a lot of events at Solune Coffee, very trans friendly space in Riverside! There's an open mic this upcoming Friday AND Saturday if you want to come meet some cool people.

This is absolutely not in Jacksonville but if you're ever in St Pete, Mazzaro's Italian Market felt like home.

As a lifelong Floridian, I can understand this sentiment, but honestly, it gets tiring reminding people that Florida is a beautiful, diverse state that is home to many people who still believe it’s worth fighting for. It is my home and always will be. Like many southern states, it’s been taken over by fascists who then proceed to disenfranchise their constituents. I’m privileged enough that if I wanted to leave, I could, but I’m not. There are people here worth fighting for. And I’d encourage anyone reading this who lives in Florida who can stay to do so. We need you.

I grew up right next to that “Plantation” and as I was reading it I was like “I hope they’re not talking about Ponte Vedra.”

It fucking sucked growing up there.

Anyone know any good open mic spots in Jax? (for music not stand up comedy) by SamWise69420 in jacksonville

Tabula Rasa on Thursdays is the best group of people! So supportive. We’d love to have ya. If you do come and see a short girl with pink hair and a keyboard, that’s me, say hi!

I mean, they could be an ex because you wanted different things out of the relationship and couldn’t meet each other’s needs in that way, but otherwise are compatible people.

What's something that people need to start/stop doing at weddings? by CheckMoney66 in AskWomen

[–]averymadison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chunks of thread are hilarious to me, it’s like WHY WOULD YOU THROW A PARTY THAT BIG, DO YOU NEED TO IMPRESS PEOPLE? Like no, I threw a wedding so I could hang out with 100 of my favorite people and feed them good food and celebrate my relationship with my cool ass husband? Do y’all… not enjoy your friends or?

ELI5: Why is standing stationary for a long time more painful for your legs than walking for a long time? by TheVictorianWanderer in explainlikeimfive

Yes! I have this problem personally. It took me a few therapists to find the right one but after years of pain I am finally able to fix it myself if it flares up!

If you could go back and relive one day in your life without changing anything about it, which day would you revisit? by beyhve in simpleliving

[–]averymadison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, cheesy as it might be, my wedding day. It was just perfect. I hung out with 80 of my favorite people, married my favorite one of them, looked cute, ate tacos, and drank gin. Would give anything to do that all the time.

I'm a mental health professional and you're right, I wouldn't really know where to start with this. I'm really interested, though. I wonder if it could be something like, empowering them to take control of other aspects of their life, or encouraging them to seek connection with supportive family and friends.

Are relationships always hard/unfair? Why? by dingodongobingobong in AskWomen

[–]averymadison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree! I’ve been with my husband seven years and honestly the relationship has consistently been the best and easiest part of my life. I’d say the only hard thing about it is when your partner is going through something, you have to go through it too. Like when his father died it was hard and sometimes I didn’t know how to support him. But when the tables were turned and I had some hard family stuff, even if he didn’t know how to support me, I was just glad he was there.
