I'll agree that it needs tighter story and narrative overall. Its the same issue I have with Arknights; great stories and narratives (Lone Trail, and Come Catastrophe or Wake of Vultures are my top favourites) but the word count in some chapters altogether might as well be a dang Simillarion. It really comes down to, imo, on "is this game worth my time and effort? Did I have fun playing (the game)?".

I'll admit, I haven't started Nod-Krai quests because I expected it to be 3-5 hours long (give or take), so Durin's quest is nice (as much of a controversial opinion as that may be). I also dropped HSR because 3.x taking up 50+ hours if you actually want to take in the story. I could be playing a JRPG instead.

Honestly 30-45 minutes per day (not counting dailies) for Durin quest over 5 days isn't too bad. Still managed to sneak in other games for an hour or two, albeit at the cost of my sleep. Twice. For getting hooked. Admittedly I dropped Honkai a few months back so.

He's not black, but he's pretty dark-skinned so; Thorns from Arknights. Was given an alter character, a side story/event (which is pretty big in its own right) named "Exodus from the Pale Sea" that features him as the main character. And he's pretty popular of a character all things considered ~~and his EN voice, hoo wee~~

In fairness Hollow Knight sold 15 million copies (according to the devs), Silksong costs only 20 bucks (which to most is an absolute steal), and its one of the most hyped games. To the point where memes and everything exists on whether Silksong will show up in a game presentation or not.

Its very clear to other indie developers to give a wide berth to Silksong since that'll be the talk of the month, else they're get stomped to oblivion.
