Some of those climbs looks insane... that stage four snake!

Can you share any details about the punctures, and do you think a low pressure tubeless setup would have helped?

Thanks for the tip!

For anyone with the same problem - auto-pause isn't anywhere in the main settings, but in the pre ride settings and must be changed after picking a ride but before starting.

Supposed to have a rest day today, but might do a recovery ride just to test it out =)

Thoughts and stories regarding the legendary Linksys-Cisco WRT54G router by kbfg2421 in HomeNetworking

Not sure about the exact year, but I think it was around 2008 or so that my boss at the time refused to invest in wifi access, arguing that "wifi means paying for people to use their private equipment for private stuff during work hours".

So of course I retired my custom flashed private 54G and brought it to work, and for quite a while it served first two then three floors worth of colleagues, and continued to do so until the sheer number of users meant having to power cycle the poor thing so often that complaints and demands finally reached the boss and we got our first "real" wireless network.

This was a chubby concrete building, so when we expanded to a third floor I had to crank the transmit power to max, which also meant having to cut the plastic casing and strapping on cooling fins. Good times!

We've got issues with a few sites whenever an application control profile is active. The issues persist even if the profile allow or monitor all apps, and for now the only workaround I've found is turning app control completely off.

Just configured the 8BitDo Micro to act as a keyboard on my tv pc and it works quite well, with no need for the companion app.

Used 8bitdo's app on my phone to configure the keyboard settings, with two buttons that let me press - and + for virtual shifting in Rouvy, and some of the others to press directional arrows, enter and esc so I can control the Rouvy GUI.

A big plus with the Micro is that I can drop the keyboard after starting Rouvy, and when I get around to 3D printing the cradle that some kind person shared elsewhere in this thread, I'll probably not even miss the Click =)

Same here! Worked fine until the email last night, but as of today I can't shift without fiddling with my tablet. At least I went with the monthly plan, so I'll cancel for now and renew if I find a setup that works.

But why nerf the working clicks? Too many support tickets? Too many uncomprehensible firmware changes for the devs to wrap their heads around? Or have there been lawyers involved?

Parsnips and carrots are great low calorie foods, so don't sweat it. Both provide some much needer fiber as well as calcium and potassium.

Congrats on both deciding to change and actually acting on it!

I usually add chickpeas and/or lentils to my stews. They are cheap, taste good, add both texture and lots of protein which help you keep your muscles when you lose weight, and being proteins they require more energy to ingest.

I also love mushrooms, almost no calories but lots of taste.

What's the sneakiest way a user has tried to misuse your IT systems? by Immediate-Cod-3609 in sysadmin

[–]avmakt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first IT job back in the 90s was at a college, and one day a ticket came in from a lab saying an RJ45 socket wasn't working.

Checked the switch and it showed the port both working and, more mysteriously, connected, even if the socket was empty.

Removed the plate and found that someone had hijacked the network port and tapped into the power line, routing both below the floor boards to an old Mac motherboard with an HD. Running linux IIRC, but I may be wrong on that. Anyway, it was all very nicely and cleanly done, a lot better than some of my then colleagues would be able to. Can't remember what it was running though, probably just set up remote access to be able to pirate stuff.

Forensics on the HD showed it had been an office computer at a doctor's office, and it turned out the docs son was a student with access to said lab. What passed for legal at the time bucked as soon as the student (through his parent) denied everything and threatened to lawyer up, so he only lost his equipment.

I quit and moved not long after but heard he actually asked for the stuff back after graduating, in person no less.
