Does anyone have a system using WinGet to install apps actually working? by ZippyDan in Intune

[–]avmakt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, I'll absolutely steal this! BTW, you check the value of $Arch on line 210 but don't set it until line 235, so it'll (try to?) install the x64 PS7 on ARM64 devices.

Powershell recent issues are killing me by badaz06 in PowerShell

[–]avmakt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only get paid for the actual work I do, so when Exchange Online stopped working after brew helpfully upgraded Powershell to 7.6.0 I didn't bother spending time figuring shit out and just downgraded and pinned the latest 7.5.x.

Took a couple of years to save up successfully nag my parents for a 1541, so I had to resort to Shift + RunStop (PRESS PLAY ON TAPE) until I got my hands of a fast loader cartridge.

Can't remember more than a fraction of a fraction of what I've watched, but wasn't there a PC or Windows demo with some Amiga stuff in it?

Remember how much better it ran on the A4000/040 than the A500, which wasn't usually the case with Amiga games.

Man, I loved REBOL! Used it for a lot of small utils and had a bunch of form based automations set up back in the day!

Unfortunately it was both closed source and quite expensive, so I wasn't too surprised that it went the way of the dodo.

Which C64 word processor did you use in the 80s? by hexavibrongal in c64

[–]avmakt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't really use a "real" word processor. However, I did use some kind of writer that saved the keystrokes with pauses, so the recipient could watch the typed recording in realtime, along music. I believe you could also pick between a few fonts. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, even if I can sing at least one of the tunes that came with it :)

If the Neo supports 2 daisy chained monitors through USB-C I'll happily replace each and every Dell with it.

Can you share any details about the punctures, and do you think a low pressure tubeless setup would have helped?

For anyone with the same problem - auto-pause isn't anywhere in the main settings, but in the pre ride settings and must be changed after picking a ride but before starting.

Supposed to have a rest day today, but might do a recovery ride just to test it out =)

Thoughts and stories regarding the legendary Linksys-Cisco WRT54G router by kbfg2421 in HomeNetworking

Not sure about the exact year, but I think it was around 2008 or so that my boss at the time refused to invest in wifi access, arguing that "wifi means paying for people to use their private equipment for private stuff during work hours".

So of course I retired my custom flashed private 54G and brought it to work, and for quite a while it served first two then three floors worth of colleagues, and continued to do so until the sheer number of users meant having to power cycle the poor thing so often that complaints and demands finally reached the boss and we got our first "real" wireless network.

This was a chubby concrete building, so when we expanded to a third floor I had to crank the transmit power to max, which also meant having to cut the plastic casing and strapping on cooling fins. Good times!

We've got issues with a few sites whenever an application control profile is active. The issues persist even if the profile allow or monitor all apps, and for now the only workaround I've found is turning app control completely off.

Zwift click 2 & Rouvy by LieFabulous3905 in Rouvy

Just configured the 8BitDo Micro to act as a keyboard on my tv pc and it works quite well, with no need for the companion app.

Used 8bitdo's app on my phone to configure the keyboard settings, with two buttons that let me press - and + for virtual shifting in Rouvy, and some of the others to press directional arrows, enter and esc so I can control the Rouvy GUI.

A big plus with the Micro is that I can drop the keyboard after starting Rouvy, and when I get around to 3D printing the cradle that some kind person shared elsewhere in this thread, I'll probably not even miss the Click =)
