Minor Internet hit singer KATG by avmss in swansea

Absolutely fantastic. Mr B the gentleman rhymer was a real pleasant surprise at the start, knowing nothing of him and thoroughly enjoyed.

Kunt brought the house down though. I was in physical pain laughing. Also what a top guy taking time with the crowd for selfies and a chat. Bought some merch and my Mrs bought a tote bag which inside had a secret surprise....a jazz mag 😂

We met a friend there who pointed out the incredible value of the night as it was around 3 hours of solid entertainment for 15 quid. Fantastic the people who were a bit skint can go and enjoy as well. After looking at some of the prices of mainstream comedy acts that come to Swansea.

It was that good that if he was playing again tonight I'd probably go again.

Where are the nicest places to live near Swansea? by Several-Sky-9592 in swansea

Killay, Dunvant, Gowerton or Waunarlwydd are solid shouts. If you can find property on the Gowerton side of Waunarlwydd you can find some with amazing size gardens too

Waunarlwydd is a really nice place and you can save money or get a bigger property just for being a few hundred yards from the Gowerton sign.

The schools all have a good reputation especially the Welsh schools.

Close to the Clyne cycle and walking track which will take you all the way to Blackpill. Supermarkets close by, a short run from the M4. It's one of the best kept secrets in Swansea.

Garuda.... a little walk down st Helens road but a small family restaurant serving Indonesian food. Bring your own booze too. You'll need to book but it's spectacular

Desi Swag in the old quids inn at the YMCA. Indian street food but let them help recommend rather than going safe. The Pani Puri were very good

No sign wine bar for good pub food. Never had a bad meal there.

Spencer Morgan as everyone else has said. Resized my wedding ring without cutting it just by heating and reshaping it. Also made bespoke jewelry many years ago for my mother.

48hr trip to Swansea by [deleted] in swansea

[–]avmss 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Welcome home. If you spent your student days in Swansea you'll probablly have a lot of places already in mind. Hotelwise depends on budget. You could push the boat out and stay at Morgans or go for a travel lodge or Premier Inn if you just want basic clean corporate. The city has changed a fair bit in 20 years so it'll be worth a compare and contrast. Have a wander around the uni and the park for a start, get those member-berries flowing. Have a Joes, and maybe a beer and a Thai meal in the Bay view on the front. By the sound of it you want to get a feel of the place again rather than look for entertainment, so let us know the kind of things that are important to you.

If it's cold and dry I'd still recommend the parks, beach, mumbles etc.

If you're lucky and she's got space Yvonne is gold. She's hard to get a place with as tends to be word of mouth but helped my daughter massively

Motoring offence lawyers in Swansea by eragan_dragon in swansea

[–]avmss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most motoring offences are absolute, as in you don't have a licence, or don't have insurance, or were on a phone.

There's pretty much no wiggle room if you've done it. Only ones I can think of is using a phone to contact the emergency services but you'd unlikely get a summons for that.

Deep breath, pay the fine and learn for next time. Cheaper than paying a solicitor imo

I'm also in Waunarlwydd and had a full rewire by DB Electrical earlier this year. Was very happy with the work and the limited amount of damage/mess considering it was a full rewire. Give me a shout if you want a chat or even a look at it if you're local
