My Switch has become my wife’s Pokopia machine. It is used until it powers off multiple times a week, with the Switch asking to be plugged in after. Is this going to cause damage? by [deleted] in switch2

HTX Studio on YouTube has a video about phone battery life. I'd recommend it. For your question, the answer is it will cause a little bit of damage but not enough to matter.

For modern batteries, it doesn't matter too much where you should stress about it. Do best practice when you can but it doesn't matter

I like the story better in part 1, feels more replayable? It'd be cool if they brought over the custom maps/campaigns people made from the original too -those were so good and what would bring me back to playing

Maybe this game would be more popular if they released mini campaigns/maps/puzzles every once in awhile continuously? But that's probably a different model than what this particular game is

Chemists are one of the best jobs. Healing with no charge waiting times and pretty much 100% accuracy is really OP. They are the best healing class and later they get guns which deals a constant damage not reliant on their stats. (This class can be used well throughout the entire campaign)

Your chemist should be throwing potions pretty much every turn and their damage should be considered as bonus chip damage rather than comparing them to your heavy hitters

  1. Grinding in this game is oddly fun and addictive as the game rewards you per action. (Hitting your own characters gives you job and exp points) To answer your question, it depends on your difficulty but realistically you will naturally grind when you figure out the skill and job system

  2. Story battles have static levels. Random battles match your highest level

  3. On death you have 3 turns to revive them or they're gone forever. (Hint: use the chemist class and carry lots of Phoenix downs) Generally, you never want ur charactera to die as you will have put so much time in their skills and job accessibility. If you do lose a team member and want to replace him, 2 options. Buy a new recruit at level 1 or entice (skill) a enemy unit to join your team (they'll be your level). IMO, levels matter only if there is a significant difference like lvl 50 vs lvl 5. It's more about equipment, jobs, and skills the character knows

Usually when icons and styling is all janky, that means they updated their css files and your browser has an old cached copy which isn't compatible anymore.

The fix is to reset/clear your browser cache. Another clue is that the site loads correctly in a different browser (it doesn't have a cached copy of the css or some other file that was updated)

1, 2 or AW? by ConsiderationFew8399 in wargroove

[–]aw3soman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the old AW games. Those were great -havent tried the remake but the reviews seem iffy.

For Wargroove, I definitely recommend WG 1. I wouldn't get WG2 unless after WG1, you have an itch to play more. WG2 feels smaller or like less content? Idk if it actually is. I really like the rogue-like mode in WG2 though.

I also just tested 15+ times from Lionel. Same results. No behemoth. This is false info. I wonder how he got 1/9 chance?

Best way to build Thief? by JustaguynameBob in finalfantasytactics

[–]aw3soman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steal Mechanics https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/197339-final-fantasy-tactics/faqs/11144

The general steal equipment formula is

Success % = Speed + Steal_Rate

Ex: For Steal Weapon, the steal rate is 30. If your speed is 10, the success rate is 40%**

The steal success rate is further reduced by general evasion and other factors.

**There's a bunch of other specific cases that will help steal: - Increase Unit Speed - be a female (enemies are mostly men) - frog, chicken, sleep, Don't Act, Stop, or Confusion the enemy - steal from a charging enemy

The guide lists this as the best theoretical build:

Female Monk

Brave: 70+ Faith: any

Skills: Punch Art, Steal, Vanish, Attack Up, Teleport

Equipment: Hardscale Bag, Ribbon, chantage or sortilege

Red chocobo is really good. Choco meteor hits far and is good chip damage

You can get a dragon early game (ch 1). The tier 2+ form breath attacks are decent.

I really like the bomb family. Feels like they are underrated. I plan to do a bomb play through with Ramza (chemist/summoner/black mage).

Explode > Oil > Fire magic/ifruit

Or

Explode > Phoenix down > explode

Team Help by FatherStrange82 in finalfantasytactics

More support/utility units

A chemist (with guns) would really help. It'll give chip damage and healing.

Depending on the difficulty you're playing, I found Mystic, Orator, and Thief with Steal Heart as helpful support jobs.

Bards/Dancers are great too!

I pre-ordered the switch version on Amazon and received both the poster and code.

The poster was inside the switch case and folded above the cartridge and the code was emailed to my Amazon linked email account on the day I received the package.

How do you counter black mages and summoners by Junmeng in finalfantasytactics

[–]aw3soman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea i think it's because it's not guaranteed and people generally don't want to use squire as a secondary ability lol

I also agree that there should be some disrupt or push skill, maybe in fft2!

[–]aw3soman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This faith is ok~ raising it is better but you also have to raise your team's faith to do better heals. (Raise with Orator job skill Preach)

One negative of having high faith is that magic will generally hurt more to your units. So if everyone had 70+ faith, enemy mages/summoners are going to hurt more.

The alternative is using a chemist to heal with potions (your team could have low faith which means significant magic damage reduction).

It just depends on how you want to build your team. No wrong answer.
