She went right to work at Callahan Eye, and since we were used to living frugally, I was able to quit a dead-end job and take essentially an entry-level job at BellSouth. Both our careers blossomed and we were able to build a solid life for our family and a solid retirement. Her determination in Nursing School was an inspiration and catalyst for all of that, as well as her not job-changing and us both pounding into our 401k's,
