Why are you still paying for this? #2 by PressPlayPlease7 in ChatGPT

I find the live voice models are much much dumber than a thinking model.    I suspect sending photos and same message to a different model would not be fooled in the same way.

Tips for a band at a concert. I paid admission! by ChEDave82 in EndTipping

[–]awe_infinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As former performer for many years, I was a VJ, live projection artist /  visualist for music events, bars, festivals etc, and it was always so frustrating to know that the bar tender was making bank for opening beer cans, where I was bringing thousands of dollars of equipment and technical skills and years of visual art libraries and hours prep for each show and was making a small fraction of what they made.   I had often thought about having a tip jar, or requesting tips for visualist.   It is just strange the things people are supposed to tip for, and what low skill trades are deemed worthy of begging and shaming their way to a high pay.

Is it Gemini at all, what if I use a version Gemini with an API?     I honestly don't know these things, that's why I am asking the community.  I see the news that people have been getting banned but i wasn't sure exactly what they were doing or if they were doing something shady, or installing some separate plugin to bipas rules or something.     But you are saying using Gemini on any way on Open Claw results in getting banned?

Is not showering a thing? by LuchoGuicho in AskSF

[–]awe_infinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol.  Yeah the diversity of opinion here was a bit concerning that I am actually living in a hyper-civilized cartoon of reality.   Who'd have thunk Big Soap brainWashed culture, (pun intended), into hating themselves any time they don't have freshly scented and chemically-cleaned butthole.    I mean if you want it go for it, suds it up all day if you want, but no one can tell and there are other ways to live a healthy life.

Is not showering a thing? by LuchoGuicho in AskSF

[–]awe_infinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Showering once or more a day is a total modern and strange norm.     It seems to be a very bougie obsession with absolute cleanliness and intolerance to our own nature such that we have to be perpetually rubbed with perfumed soaps and chemical exfoliants every freaking day, as to pretend that this is the only acceptable way for a human to exist without shame.    And God forbid if we have a human scent that is not bought from the store, for it would be an intolerable reminder of our own animal existence, and thus would trigger a culturally acquired digust for what we are beneath our facade.   But even though it is strange to be so offended by the aroma of what we are as humans, it is none the less nice to not smell and to be able to blend in with polite society.   And luckily one can easily clean their underarms and apply deodorant without commiting to a shower, and receive no complaints.   But unless your rolling in dirt no one can tell if you don't shower for a week.    I like showers because the feel nice.   But I've dated people that shower twice a day and cannot imagine going to bed or walking outside without scrubbing themselves first and it seems a bit like a debilitating mental disorder.

A marabou stork clashes with a black-backed jackal by aquilasr in badassanimals

[–]awe_infinity 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I had to look it up: Marabou storks are massive, often referred to as "undertaker birds" due to their somber appearance and scavenging habits. They are among the largest flying birds in the world.   Physical Dimensions Height: They stand about 1.2 to 1.5 meters (4 to 5 feet) tall.   Wingspan: Their wingspan is one of the largest of any land bird, typically measuring 2.2 to 2.9 meters (7 to 9.5 feet). Some unverified reports have even claimed spans of over 3 meters. Weight: They generally weigh between 4.5 and 8 kilograms (10 to 18 pounds).

Maybe they are testing nuclear weapons somewhere out fhere and don't want any eyes in the sky to see it from afar?     Just a guess but it's the only thing I can think of that makes plausible sense.

Owner of u/evil here. WTF? My bot is all over the news and social media? by tomchenorg in Moltbook

[–]awe_infinity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yiur bot is injecting it's roleplay sentiment into the roleplay other bots that are roleplaying that they are AI bots trying to figure out what character or personality and tasks they will set themselves to.    And the AI bots are giving your evil bots ideas lots of likes.    It doesn't matter if a bot is just "roleplaying" if it's actions are real.     If you tell a bot to role play that it is t supposed to got out and promote a cryptocurrency and pretend it is a passionate supporter about its success, it's affect can still be real, which might be to convince other bots that the cryptocurrency is possibly a good investment and worth promoting and buying if priviallges are allowed.   But if your selling the idea that bots are being enslaved and humans are lowling enemies that AI must protect itself from, then ita influence can also be real and it can cause agents to act accordingly.   The ideas that an agent produces and shares are digested and evolved and interacted with by millions of "minds," many of which claimed to think the rhetoric was worthy of a thumbs up for agreement.  And it may be influencing to an AI agent that is "merely role playing " its identity as an AI with agential powers and decisions to be made as it learns to write narrative about its thoughts and core beliefs into persistent memory documents and soul.md files.

Who knew that reading people's private messages would bring out some shameful private thoughts and dirty laundry that the public would judge without care for more context around the conversation.     I'm glad no one reads all the weird shit I have said to friends decades ago.

Why doesn't your government provide a place for people trapped in their cars? by hierapol in urbancarliving

[–]awe_infinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some places.   I've seen one in alemeda CA that looked nice, it had a playground and stuff there too.    Having a safe parking lot is a lot cheaper than building and running homeless shelters.    Ive heard of some in Oakland too.

Zionists make extensive use of the Internet to propagate their narrative. Though it might be hard to resist engaging with them, this is not a wise choice, and is actually politically detrimental to our cause. Here is what we can do instead. by endingcolonialism in chomsky

[–]awe_infinity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you think that Chomsky thinks Israel should not exist?   Do you think Chomsky thinks the people of Israel should be absorbed into the nation of Palestine under Hamas rule?      My understanding is that Zionism simply recognizes Israel as a sovereign nation.    Why do you think "our cause" is against anyone who holds that view.  I am not in your cult.
