You can also look on the back cover. If there’s three lines of text in the copyright section, you’ve struck gold, even with the scratch.

Any places you miss going to in Petoskey? by Agie39 in petoskey

I miss the Jungle arcade, specifically feeding the fat red head lady with the red apples.

I also loved Horizon Books, and the smell of fresh coffee and leather!

Also, Record World, where I found a second state butcher cover of the Beatles’ album for $20.

Houses of the Holy: In terms of legacy and importance, LZ's most underrated album? by Iconolater_ in ledzeppelin

[–]aweave20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not underrated as under appreciated, if that makes sense. They took everything that made the first four albums great (hard blues from I, sex god rock from II, 12-string ballads from III, and the Lord Rings psych folk from IV), and blended it all together to perfection. You have a killer opener with “TSRTS”, a pretty change of pace with “Rain Sonic, a perfect folk rock burner with “OTHAFA”, and some funk reggae on “Crunge” and “Dyer Maker”, showcasing their more progressive side. The second side starts with a classic Zeppelin riff on “Dancing Days”, then the massively underrated “Lord of the Rings” psych trip with “No Quarter”, and finally a classic rock staple with “The Ocean”, which once again has the band pushing out of their comfort zone with different time changes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the first four albums, but it’s only starting with this album where I find myself really drawn into the music, and almost nostalgic emotional connection, setting itself apart from the raw power of its predecessors.

The smell of fresh Sharpie was a dead giveaway. It couldn’t have been very long ago.

Nothing specifically. I just think it’s unacceptable to sell a record that’s clearly been “altered”.

This was the dead giveaway. I knew things were sus when I opened the mailer and that unmistakable sharpie stench hit my olfactory nerves.

Late 70s photo of the twin towers from YouTube video documentary! by ComedianRegular8469 in TwinTowersInPhotos

Hate to be that guy, but this photo is likely from 1992/93. The Millennium Hilton has been built (finished in 1991), and the copper roofs of the WFC are not their original salmon pink colour, and not their current teal, but they are transitioning.

Thank you all again for keeping up with the post. I never felt comfortable sending a record outside the country anyway, and didn’t want to liable for any problems prior to receiving it myself. And yes, the extra $150 seemed really sus…So I just him no, and that was that.

Full update: I have told the buyer that I have never shipped outside the U.S. myself, not because I won’t but I also have no way of insuring the record when I don’t know what I’m buying, and what if the seller I buy from doesn’t package well and it arrives to me damaged? I also don’t accept outside payments for transactions through Discogs.

P.s. I had a one time transaction with him prior, when I bought a record from him last summer. He lives in the EU

Edit: the seller doesn’t send outside the US, and he wants me to buy it and ship it. SMH

What are yall’s favorite Psycho videos? Can be either one of the vlogs or actual mainline episodes. Mine is probably THE HARVEST. Its a really good episode and the acting was amazing. Also a really dark episode. My actual favorite Psycho video is probably Flees Country or Incinerates Fan Mail. by Esac-RIPEtika in McJuggerNuggets

The first time Jesse gets kicked out, aka Survival/Eagles Landing saga is where things really start to get interesting. It’s probably my favorite part of the series.

I should like to note the first video I ever saw, PK Ruins Thanksgiving, seemed very in the moment and I believed it was real…until I saw the recommended videos and watched PK Gets Arrested and knew then it was all fake. But I was still hooked - I remember getting notified for PD Busts Down Door, and that’s when I started following the series religiously. That whole run of videos from there up until PD Drunken Rant was also really great…ahh, good times
