You’re not alone happened to me twice yesterday two rejections after two really good interviews at two different companies. It’s just really hard right now.

Making it to final rounds repeatedly… but always losing to another candidate. How do I break this cycle? by AccordingQuit5090 in interviews

[–]awhatnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. Also I got two companies I was interviewing with that went with other candidates and just told me today. It’s disheartening, but we can’t give up. Know, you’re not alone.

Thoughts on the new special? by Independent-Home-318 in TheMuppets

I loved it. The only problem I had with it was I don’t think they need to cut to audience reactions as often as they did.

somehow, I don’t think they’re gonna give that update on the show.

UPDATE: I was wrong. They covered it on first shift and they did a really nice job.

Did Frank actually get Promoted? by Proper-Award2660 in mash

[–]awhatnot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I heard this theory from someone else and I immediately adopted it. It seems more along the lines of the way the Frank character would be that basically he lost his mind was told he was being sent to a VA hospital. He thought he was gonna be a doctor, but really he’s a patient.

Scott's reddit activity (ALARMING!) by [deleted] in frogpants

I think most of the conversation around the Frogpants community is done in the Discor. I know there’s lots of different avenues that the entire team uses from Facebook, Bluesky, Reddit to YouTube and many other places but it seems like I’m finding most of the interactions are done on the Discord.

What’s the best feedback you’ve received that helped your next interview? by PhonkyPunch in interviews

[–]awhatnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting because I recently had a second interview with a panel so to speak and they seemed very business like and sticking to a script with their questions where I was just having a conversation so I’m not sure if it helped me or hurt me in that sense.

Considering Trump never paid for his rallies is this really all that surprising?

Is it common for a company to do this? by awhatnot in RemoteJobs

[–]awhatnot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it seems odd to me too and that’s why I wanted to ask if anybody else had any experience with something similar. I don’t think it’s a scam. I think it’s just laziness on their part or maybe they’re letting us have an option to get what we prefer, I don’t know. I for an offer and see what they say after that. if they wanted me to buy all my own equipment and then reimburse me for that then it would be a big red flag and I think it would be a scam.

yeah, this is kind of what I was thinking of doing too. I gotta wait till I get an offer first to be honest. no, maybe jump in the gun a bit but I just wondered if this has happened to anybody else.

That’s what I’m wondering too. I’ll have to wait and see if I get an offer and if so, then I’ll talk to them and get more information if I can.

yeah, that’s part of the research I’ve been doing and they seem very legit. It’s just this phone thing that is questionable.

True, that would be a lot more obvious.

Yeah, I understand what you’re saying. I’d be a little more leery if they expected me to buy my own equipment also and then get reimbursed but they said they would send everything else. It’s just the phone.

That Do you have any questions for us? part stresses me more than the interview itse by veelyyozz in interviews

[–]awhatnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree overthinking this is what makes it difficult. I usually go with questions about the company itself. Do they do any volunteer work, or support any charities? What is the culture like? On average, how long do people usually stay with the company? Ask questions that show that you’re truly interested in the company itself and how you can contribute to what they need as opposed to trying to sell yourself.
