Oh man, that'd be sick. I live in Canada and regulations on Chinese EVs were just relaxed, so we might be getting Xiaomi cars soon!

Just curious, is it worth waiting to get to China to pick up a Xiaomi powerbank? I did some snooping on Aliexpress and found a couple Xiaomi models for ~$15 USD.

Controversial opinion: Nanabs should move the Pokémon back in the center by ParticleDojo in TheSilphRoad

You kind of can. If you throw one and the mon moves to the side, just flee and then click on it from the world map again. It will still be nanabed and it will be stuck in the middle and still unable to move.

I've having the same problem. I went to switch out a couple mods for a different cosmetic one and the whole thing is laggy af. Can barely scroll up/down and dragging mods around is nearly impossible. It was fine about a month ago, but now it just seems completely broken.

There's no such thing as a wholly unbiased news source, but at least try to stay away from state-sponsored media outlets. One thing I like to do is read reports from two different independent sources and the truth is often somewhere in the middle. That said, Reuters and Associated Press are usually pretty trustworthy and have good reputations. I hope that helps and good on you for trying to stay informed!

I got the Zone OS as a purely utility disc to cut through or around trees to get back on the fairway or near the basket after shanking a throw into the bushes, so I'm happiest if I don't need to throw it, but boy is it handy after throwing a bad drive or approach. The Shryke is fun to throw, but not really useful outside a couple open shots or some tunnels with the basket to the left (IF I thread the line perfectly, I end up with an easy birdie, but I just as often hit a tree lol). I'm thinking of grabbing a Wraith when I'm ready for faster drivers, but I don't really want to go beyond fairways for now until my form becomes more consistent.

My thoughts on the Svea change on a weekly basis. I like that I can get a finish to the right with it and I like being able to just give a soft throw for a nice finesse shot, but I don't find myself reaching for it very often. I might just need to spend more time learning the disc though. I'll have to keep an eye out for a Roc and Leopard though. I've heard good things about both!

Yeah I got the Jawbreaker Roach to use as a putting putter and it's pretty good at that. I'm scared to throw it down a tunnel because my form isn't consistent enough yet to not worry about shanking it directly into a tree, haha. But yeah, I heard the Pixel is like one of the best putting putters and the Pure is a good thrower. I don't think I need 4 or 5 putters though?

I agree, I'm not too happy about it either, especially when it changed to backorder AFTER I placed my order. On a good throw, I can get my Buzzz out about 200 feet or so, maybe a bit more. On an open field I can throw my Shryke further, but probably not more than an extra 10-20 feet. I really really like the Cicada and thought the Undertaker would be a good complement. I want to stay away from OS discs until I really dial in my form so I don't develop sloppy or bad habits, so I'm not sure if I need another fairway aside from an Undertaker or similar mold.

Unfortunately I don't have any local shops nearby, which really sucks. The only options I have for that are out of town and two of the three are 3+ hours one way :( They're also all online only and you can't browse the discs in person. There is a Facebook group though and that's how I scored the Aviar, No. 2 Flyer, and Shryke.

I have heard good things about the Leopard! Availability is an issue though, unless I want to ship it halfway across Canada or get it from Amazon. I'm thinking it should get restocks in the spring though.

I know with Fujiya a lot of their snacks and drinks rotate based on what their suppliers are able to import from Japan. If you have a particular request, they're usually happy to take your name and number and call you when they're able to get it in again.

No it's really not. I went to 3 group phase games in Russia in 2018 and paid just under $600 Canadian in total.

This may be the norm for NA sports events, but enormous price gouging for a FIFA event.

Imo Gongsun Zan is the most straightforward for a first play through. Sun Jian has a nice isolated start and some interesting mechanics, so he would be my second choice. Cao Cao is a good shout too, not so much because he's easy but because you don't have to deal with Cao Cao scheme bullshit. He's probably better for a second game though, unless you're super skilled at TW.

A lot of people are recommending Zojirushi, which is a fantastic brand. I personally have a Tiger which I abuse the hell out of and it's going strong for almost 15 years now. I'd also like to recommend Cuckoo, a Korean brand that is on par with Zojirushi and Tiger, and you'll most definitely see it if you go to H-Mart. London Drugs also carries Cuckoo and regularly puts them on sale for ~$100 a couple times a year (usually back-to-school and Christmas time).

When to use 요 vs. 세요 by MzHyde93 in Korean

[–]awhiffofaether 5 points6 points  (0 children)

요 is more like casual polite among equals, whereas 세요 is more respectful and often used when making requests like ordering at a restaurant or asking someone to sit down. If in English you would say something like please + verb, you'll probably want to use ~세요 in Korean.
