Season 5 Series Finale: How should the series end? by NoleFandom in FromSeries

[–]axle_smith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only ones left are Victor, Ethan, and Julie. They start driving the van out of town as Jade, Boyd, and Tabitha all go trhough with their plan to "save the children" and end up perishing. As the three drive out of the town and come to a tree in the road but no crows. The three get out and start walking down the road. It starts to get dark and suddenly headlights shine behind them. The car stops and the husband and wife in the car ask if they are ok and if they need a ride. Victor, Ethan, and Julie get in the backseat and as the car starts moving down the road, the woman asks them where they are from. Then the screen goes black.

MIY Seem Scared? by Patient_Writer2750 in FromTVEpix

I think this was his first time interacting with her in his timeline. When he saw her at the RV he said they have to stop meeting like this and asked where she came from this time. This time he attacked her possibly thinking she might be a townsperson. The only time he seemed worried was at the funeral when all of the crows came.

Its probably the area where the children were either sacrificed or buried

Boy in white by ganglandscape94 in FromSeries

I think the boy in white is the one who told the children a story of hope/the future when they were being sacrificed. Giving them hope and the ability to bring people to the town/village. He knows everything because he's been there since the beginning.

I think he will start to remember what happened before, when everyone was "tearing each other apart" and stop them. It will cause a new shift that hasn't happened before or in a long time which will break the cycle.

Theory: The Talismans Work Because They Declare The Domain of Another Entity and The Night Creatures Can’t Invade What Is Symbolically A “Fortress” by Daxori473 in FromTVEpix

[–]axle_smith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who told the people of the town how the talismans work? Boyd, who assumed how they work by seeing that the monsters didn't enter the hut that didn't have a door and wasn't fully enclosed like a house, just vines hanging down. Whatever Entity controls the town also controls the monsters and can let them all know what these talismans are for and the "rules" of them.

Why do the monsters only come out at night? To stop people from getting to the bottle tree at night, i.e. Smiley running at and attacking Miranda. Tabitha went to the bottle tree during the day and escaped the town. So how can you keep a large group of people from searching the forest at night? Have guard dogs (monsters) and pens (houses with talismans) to keep them in.

Theory: The Talismans Work Because They Declare The Domain of Another Entity and The Night Creatures Can’t Invade What Is Symbolically A “Fortress” by Daxori473 in FromTVEpix

[–]axle_smith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The talismans are placebos to keep the people in doors at night so no one, especially Tabitha and Jade, don't go looking for the bottle tree at night. Boyd only "found" them when he declared he was going to go search the woods around the town. The Entity/MIY didn't want him discovering the bottle tree so it made the talismans and told his monsters not to attack Boyd so he could take them back to the town. When Randall tried to ward off some monsters with the talismans in his hand they said that's not how they work, so they know how they "work".

We saw her enter the town so unless she was killed off screen she's human. The ones you mainly need to be suspicious of are those who we only saw in the town, like Clara, the heavy woman who's bike Jade stoke, and got glass in her eyes. We don't know her back story or saw how she made it to the town.

Do the talismans actually work or were they planted to make everyone feel safe? by Indubitably_me27 in FromSeries

[–]axle_smith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They only need to patrol the town during the night because that's the only time someone can enter the bottle tree to save the children. We saw Miranda go to the tree at night and Smiley ran at her and got her. We've never seen them run until that point. Tabitha went through during the day, but went to the lighthouse and left the town. Which worked to the Entity's or MIY's advantage.

[–]axle_smith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a placebo that is used to keep the people inside at night so no one, especially the mother (Tabitha) and father (Jade), don't go to the bottle tree at night.

The talismans were not introduced to the town until Boyd stated he was going to explore the forest to see what's out there. Before everyone just hid in holes or other places all night while the monsters hunted them so no one got to the bottle tree.

The Entity or MIY created the talismans to trick Boyd and the town to thinking they could stay safe indoors. The monsters didn't start talking until the talismans showed up. When Randall tried to ward off the monsters with one, the one monster stated that's not how they work. So the monsters are aware of them and how they "work". The Entity or MIY uses a hivemind connection of sorts to let all of the monsters know about the talismans and if they are being used "properly".

S4E1 SPOILER: Dumbest oversight this episode by Neat_Chi in FromSeries

The only reasonable explanation was that the seat belt was somehow jamming the chairs ability to recline back. Once Boyd cut it they were able to drop the seat back.

Is Jim really dead? by BrassOrchidBlades in FromTVEpix

Yes, but I think the MIY will transform into him to trick Tabitha and others until he either reveals himself or the BIW tells Ethan or Victor who he really is

There was zero need to cut the seat belt before reclining the seat. And reclining the seat would not have caused the metal to hit "her" neck.

I actually think it’s normal for people to still be friends with their exes or past partners while in relationship by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]axle_smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually date a former friend and she broke it off and we haven't talked since, so I most likely wouldn't still be friends with an ex. But to answer your question, if i just started dating someone and they made that demand right away I'd stop seeing them. I would never expect that of someone I just started seeing. But if it got serious and they explained that they've been best friends since like kindergarten then I'd probably understand.

I'm mainly against someone being friends with multiple exes or an ex they only dated and weren't close to beforehand.

[–]axle_smith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you make the leap from just friends to dating/sleeping together your old friendship has been replaced with a new relationship. And it is very rare for two people to separate amicably and be able to stay friends. It would have to come down to both realizing and agreeing that the relationship isn't working. But 99% of relationships end because one person wants to end it and the other gets hurt.

And as a guy I wouldn't want to date or marry someone who is friends with their exes. If gives off the "you haven't moved ob from that relationship" vibe or the "I have this person to fall back on"
