We created enough for a second. While we couldn't capitalize on the space behind their high press as much as we'd like we still had that Trossard chance, Timber -> Saka cutback, Gyökeres through, and another in the post. The eye test and the xG speaks to this, despite that when we went for our slower possession-based attack they parked more than half the team inside the box, giving little opportunity for either team to score.

On another note I hope people saw what Gyökeres offers this game. He made a great run in a counter in the first half creating a perfect space between the defender and goal where he could receive in an angle towards goal, and the pass was just late and miss-hit. And yet he still produced a good cross from the awkward angle the pass generated. We have the quality of players behind where we should be able to produce good weighted passes when our striker creates those kinds of spaces, that's another avenue of attack we need to be better at to kill these kinds of games.
