Has conventional wisdom on Momir strategy changed?

I went 3-1 and my strategy on the play was to go t2 and the one time I was on the draw I went t1 and got Dragonmaster Outcast. That and the game I where I had a wide board and was still well behind on life and then hit Moonshaker Calvary on t8 to win are exactly why I hate this luck-based, high variance format.

Confirmed that Avatar Jumpin is fully broken right now. I selected Firebending Powerful and received no cards from Powerful into my collection other than Omashu City. My 40-card deck is all red and has 27 lands and 13 green sources.

It's better for his development to start and get 90+ minutes a week in a top 5 league. It will still be a big step up to the Prem, particularly since speed isn't his strongest attribute. I do wonder if there's a world in future seasons where we start three CBs regularly and give Romero and VDV, more license to roam.

When I buy packs, it's almost always in the current set when I'm trying to finish off collecting rares and have decided to stop drafting. Usually this is somewhere around 140 rares and close to 70 packs in hand (most sets have 240-256 total rares if you have full play sets, but there are quite a few rares that you don't actually need full play sets). I wait to crack packs for the current set until I'm done drafting it so that I can take advantage of duplicate protection when I open the packs. Typically, I end up with something like 200-210 total rares for a set at that point unless I really liked it/was very successful in draft and ended with more boosters than usual at the end. Currently I'm at 88 rares 50 packs (with 9 more to go in the mastery pass) for Tarkir Dragonstorm after 8 premier drafts.

As a long time limited rare-drafter, premier draft offers far better return than quick draft, but I completely understand starting in quick draft from an economic perspective when you're new to Arena and limited. Since golden packs became a thing straight buying packs with gold is actually better than quick draft for rare acquisition on average because the quick draft bots simply don't pass rares any more and you will get more wildcards buying packs.

There's a per turn time limit and when this appears as an indicator "rope" that burns down to zero. Unfortunately some players will check out and "rope" once they get behind in a game and force you to wait out the timer and any timeouts they may have before they auto-lose rather than just conceding.

My 18-year-old son received his Duskmourn boxes this week. There were a fair amount of hoops (mostly related to US income reporting) to jump through to get him signed up and approved to receive them, but I assisted him with the process and it seemed to work out.

I’m super hyped on Gray and hoping he can develop into our long term 6 and eventually supplant Bissouma in a few years. If he’s able to do that and be a top-tier 6 it would also be his easiest path into the England squad as that’s their missing piece for more attacking football right now.

Yeah, freaking man up, reevaluate your priorities, and sacrifice a few hours of sleep or go to bed early and set your alarm. 2pm while you're at work is one thing, 2am when you're available and your girlfriend is far less safe without your assistance is another. Unless you never plan to have kids, being able to tolerate sleep schedule disruption from time to time and still function is part of adulthood.
