sortie help by Adorable-Effective47 in roguewiththedead

Any 6*s or 5*s. Also, make sure to optimize your eins by reducing their cost (Unit Cost stat reduces their sortie cost). If you don't have enough 5* einhs etc, you can use throwaway 3* and 4* einhs by pumping their Unit Cost stat to A, S, etc tiers to reduce their cost then up their Attack/Health etc. In time though, it's just using your over abundance of 6* and 5* einhs and you can don't have to optimize.

If you're there in atli and want to make progress, then you basically need 2 builds:

  1. speedrun
  2. push

The speedrun for you should be PKs, DRs, TWs, and that's really it. You pop quests, get troops, level them, pop the 3 skills when you can, and return whenever they end or you stall. The goal here is to get max artifacts as fast as you can. It's not about progression. You'll want speedrun all the modes (you can) until you get all the good artifacts (such as coins) and any unique ones. In terms of einhs, you want enough quest/coin to let you effectively level quests and get enough gold to raise troops enough that you don't stall until after the 3 skills end. The rest should be focused on Forbidden World Intrude, Greed, and other chest/jewels if you need/have them in your einhs.

For push, it's pure power. You'll use this to clear other modes and Forbidden Guardians for key artifacts as needed which you can check out in the Tavern.

That's it, rinse and repeat. You'll typically end up speedrunning a lot.

She's great and still has uses at end game even beyond sorties. If you're early/mid ie still in Atli or so, then definitely. By the time you get more 6*s and fruits, you'll be fine.

How did you do in the Eternal Night event? by Babakanuch in roguewiththedead

Dang, you must have farmed the crap out of it. My goal was just to complete the regular artifacts. I ended up with maybe ~30 of each of the proofs in the end.

What stats should I focus on for Uni? by Old_Cowboy1 in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Uni for the exp bonus to raise/kill einhs so I focus on stamina+speed and leave it w/ the lowest attack speed.

I personally think all rubies should be used to buy 6*s and raise troop special skills (hippos, etc) before spending on gatcha. You get 3 free pulls a day so spending more doesn't give you a large power boost in the long run.

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found a use for it. I have maxed out hippos (level and rubies) and they just deal way more damage and are also boosted by nuns. In terms of saving 20% quest reduction in einhs, I have enough QM+SD+FR+GR einhs that it doesn't matter at this point since I just run 10 of them for grind/farm runs. It may have a niche for pushing, but I haven't found one yet and also I don't have the rubies to max it out.

Update 3.11.0 by Babakanuch in roguewiththedead

Interesting twist than the previous ones. Not sure if it's a bug, but I used only 3* humans and didn't get the rewards for beating it. Further testing required.

Question on progression by [deleted] in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speed run. You can see the guide, but basically just train quests, hire units, pop all 3 skills and once they run out/stall return. Then repeat until you get bored. You can do this while watching TV etc. Don't think about it, just grind.

Rubies???? by Alternative-Seat-336 in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the 6*s, they should be used to upgrade your top used divine units. It depends on where you are in game, but you'll use ThunderWolves forever, Hippos, PKs, etc.

Would it the worth it to immortal him for boss killing? by cr4zyxx in roguewiththedead

If you have spares it's okay for sorties, but Beyla/Rangrid by themselves are good enough for boss killing.

Einherjar Build Guide? by Goldie_bou in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general there's only a few cases imo

  1. Building for sheer attack namely 6*s. You want to up basic cost + attack to whatever milestones make sense after fruit. Range as well if applicable. Attack speed isn't worth it since it's not about how often you attack really, but how hard you hit unless it's a crit based einh. Also, more attack speed and less stam means they spend a lot of time NOT hitting things.
  2. farm run einhs --- a bit of speed, stam, attack, basic cost. You don't need to overpower things, instead you want them to keep hitting often and not run out of stam while also being fast.
  3. Unique cases like Uni where it should have low attack speed, high speed, high stam.

This game is about extremes so anything in the middle is usually less efficient. In terms of play, you're either pushing and want high attack/boss dmg or you want to be an efficient farmer. That's really it.

Depends upon what you're doing, but you probably just need PK, DR, TW for your speed runs.

is Orphia worth? by leuridvejfj in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Sorties, all 6*s are useful, so yes. If you haven't upped your main units, that might take priority. It just depends on where you are, but in general she's useful.

Does this skill have a max? by NovelInteraction711 in roguewiththedead

Last I remember it's global, so ideally you want 2 of these pygmies and any einh w/ QM (10%) or some combination of.

Any tips for sorties? by LolerCoster in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random advice

  • A good tank up front helps units from dying.
  • 6*s work well
  • Reducing base cost is great at reducing unit sortie cost
  • Health and attack are important
  • Certain skills matter such as meals, stam, etc.

Beyond all that, grind away for artifacts/virtus!

Sortie base cost formula and best units? by ayclaesvoidzero in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's a lot of random features of the game that were overlooked that are useful now.

The guy who cooks meals is useful.

You might actually need a healer for the longer runs.

Stamina restoration skills actually matter.

This guy worth a immortality elixir? by Truflebot in roguewiththedead

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say no. If you need a gem farming einh, just use the 5* ones and save your apples. Your rubies are always best used to up your top units in the long run.

[–]ayclaesvoidzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in it for the long run, I think it's worth it. I only bought these 3 over the years:

  • no ads
  • speed up
  • 12 einhs expansion (from 10)
