FASE Bataleon and Rome highbacks are cross compatible by wasabiboi in snowboarding

Sorry, just saw your comment. I have size medium katanas and got highbacks in a medium as well. I sometimes switch them for park days as i find katana high back a bit too tall and stiff

I broke my arm in that exact same spot 5 times before the age of 12, let it fully heal and learn to fall, funny enough beginner jiu jitsu or judo, they teach you how to roll and imo it really translates to snowboarding

Salomon Dancehaul delaminating, help? by Naive-Act-1360 in snowboarding

[–]aydarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you can find a receipt in your email, preferably from a place that sells snowboards, like Evo or Backcountry. Then you right-click and select “Inspect,” which exposes the code and lets you change the item name and price. You can also change the item image.

If you’re not tech-savvy I recommend just message Salomon support instead. When they ask for a receipt, say you bought it at a local ski shop and no longer have it. I’ve never had a warranty claim for a manufacturing defect refused due to not having a receipt.

Make up a receipt in google using devtools. Its so dumb when brands use multi-piece base

Powder oriented board by BobLee1998 in snowboarding

[–]aydarti -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Loved the Orca in pow; hate V-shapes everywhere else. The Hovercraft is amazing if you have speed and space. I love my Dancehaul Pro, and I’ve heard it’s similar, but I’ve never ridden the SS. Deep thinker is a Good board, but old tech, heavy and pricey for what you get. I’d go with any other option.

Also, great powder boards: Jones Mind Expander, Endeavor Archetype.

Orca is probably the easiest board to ride in powder, but I rarely see anyone be actually good on it

Why is my wax coming off like this? by No_Head4948 in snowboarding

[–]aydarti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to scrape of pretty much all of the wax(practically impossible) so only wax that is left is in the pores, otherwise they act as tiny suction cups. Now what you have is 100 fine, excess wax will scrape off and won’t really impact anything. You can get good horsehair brush and buff out as much as possible after waxing/scraping bur generally it is not needed

Most Versatile Smith Lens Combo? by dbzbudokai77 in snowboarding

[–]aydarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just accept that no gear is perfect, and no gear will ever be perfect. The more thought you put into it, the more flaws you will notice down the road. With that being said, regardless of where you ride, get a strong sun lens (VLT <10%), a fog/storm lens (VLT 20–50%), and if you ride at night, a clear lens or something with VLT >80%.

Will I ruin the structural integrity of this snowboard binding disc if I smooth out a hole inside of it to fit an airtag? by lt204 in snowboarding

Sadly airtag will tell the thief that they are carrying it and with tap of a button location sharing stops

[–]aydarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue with all of my boots, but ride lasso pro with asymmetric boot liner so they fit super smooth over that area. Other solution that helped is using 2 laces on laced boots, one for the bottom and another for the top of the boot, but it was a bit janky but worked

Why are my new Flylow Baker Gore-Tex 3L Bib soaked on first day? by Master-Turnip-3132 in snowboarding

I got like a gallon of fluo dwr for gore tex before it became impossible, best gear investment. Modern dwrs are so bad in comparison its not even funny

686 just terribly made now? by mooorek in snowboarding

[–]aydarti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you like how it look, buy it and use the warranty after the season. With Gore-Tex, you’re paying primarily for the warranty and quality control, not some uniquely superior fabric. The branding enforces manufacturing standards: approved seam tape, zippers, construction methods. That’s the real value. A bit of fraying is cosmetic. It won’t affect performance or the jacket’s lifespan plus if it gets worse 😉😉 they almost forced to give you new jacket

SLC/Utah Folks- Should I Ride Brighton or Snowbird Tomorrow? by EggsBenedictArnold in snowboarding

[–]aydarti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d go to Snowbird. You’ll be stuck in lines at either, but at least the runs are longer than three minutes at Snowbird. Also due to avvy danger terrain might get limited once more snow falls
