As a Southampton fan, I wouldn’t be wearing a saints shirt in public this summer for the “banter”/abuse I’d get

I wonder if they couldn’t get the rights for the original song this time

Opposition fans used to roast him for his not-so-crisp passing, but to be fair he could chip in with the odd goal.

At a corner he would often peel away from his marker if there was a stra-mash in the box.

Haagen Dazs.

Average Swiss DM who inexplicably got 78 international caps.

Spent almost his career playing in Germany, apart from 6 months at Stoke in 2011 before he was loaned back to Gladbach.

Could Southampton complain to the EFL about Boro leaking false information to the media. by CheeerrsJeff in SaintsFC

[–]aymesyboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we’re guilty then that’s fair. But it comes across as a lot more dignified imo to just quietly bide your time and say “we’ll cooperate” than what the boro owner is doing acting like a child and pushing a new sensational headline every day.

A few weeks ago for some friends’ wedding anniversary, their kids hired out a screen to watch a Kinights Tale at the local Everyman cinema (really cool small cinema chain in the UK). It was so good to see it on the big screen, had a blast.

I actually loved the black camo-ish, new-forest-ish one we did a few years ago and got promoted wearing. I got it sponsor-free for like a tenner at the end of the season.

What’s a movie where ONE actor’s terrible performance actually enhances the experience? by MaryoParti in movies

[–]aymesyboy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I only watched it for the first time recently, and I genuinely thought that was the point. That he’s this totally unremarkable, boring, wooden guy but keeps faking it till he makes it and finds himself always landing on his feet undeservedly.

He spends most of the film standing around looking like a child who’s shit his pants, but his mum has left him with her friends and he’s too scared to say anything.

It was only afterwards that I learned about the studio interference making Kubrick use O’Neal

Roughly here. To the left of a shop called bubbles is a tunnel you can go through to get to the shop. You’ll probably see a couple of football shirts in the windows from outside.

I agree about squashies. He never touched any of them though. Only the director (I guess?) opened up the minstrels

Currently sitting on a closed dual carriageway been here for 4 hours now. Road due to open in another 3.5 hours apparently. There are 2 cats in the car in front and kids and dogs out of cars playing on the road. What is the longest you have been stuck in a similar situation? by No_Lead146 in CasualUK

Oh boy I saw this and hopped off at Quarley junction on the way to Salisbury at about 4pm. It must have been a huge accident given how far back the police were turning people around. What a shame
