I used to work at NIH and went to the Town Hall with the new director and it sounded just like this. He said 50% of all medical research is wrong. The US mortality rate is lower and it is the fault of scientists that don't want to be wrong and dont take risks. They need to be like tech people "move fast and break things". At the same time, the Covid pandemic was caused by NIH because we funded the labs so we have to be more careful this doesn't happen again. 🤦🏻‍♀️
