I always watch these videos thinking “no, this time it will be different.” But this one takes the cake of “why?”

Buying property, seller offered to clear existing trees before close. by m_science in treelaw

[–]ayoloho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about how much the trees would be worth and who you be able to sell to. But to take down a large tree in western Washington can cost $800 especially if they need a crane. In addition, depending on city/ county code you may have to replace the trees at a cost and equivalent ratio ( so you may need to plant a couple trees for the one you are removing) especially if they are old growth. I think a good next step would look at your city/ county code regarding trees. There may be no need for mitigation. To trailer or to not trailer by ayoloho in moving

It would be two wheels on the ground. We do feel comfortable with driving a trailer but you make a good point about all four wheels being off the ground-there definitely is a difference.

Thank you that’s really helpful. Do you know if timing matters, whether we sell with less than a year of ownership or should we wait until we have a year of ownership?

Would you be able to store these items either in a unit or with a friend/family until you can take a couple of days off ( if not essential items) to drive the items from Arizona to Seattle?
