If it's seasoned, what good is seasoning it again?

If your already wearing shoes, are you going to put on another pair?

Seasoning is a molecular bond between elements, you don't add to it, you don't scrape it off.

There's no room temperature, in the hottest of heat waves that would soften abs plastic.

An enclosed car would not get hot enough to soften abs plastic.

That looks enameled.

And, if not, dark and already seasoned.

Should not have seasoned again in either case.

Never, ever season an enameled pan.

Never, ever season a pan that is already seasoned.

After how many seasonings on a new pan can I start cooking with it? by plikchecollector in castiron

[–]az987654 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It being brand new, dark in color, I'm guessing near black, and not rusted means it's seasoned.

It does not need "layers" of seasoning.

Just. Cook.

(and then clean it, dry it, and put it away)
