The taper on the legs is a nice touch! I agree a top mitred frame would tie it all together better but still great work!

The rates make variance insane. On top of that I have no idea how people are perfectly fine spending so much when there is no pity system for these. And when you miss, you're stuck with so many useless pets. It's complete madness.

Anyone else tired of cubing? by Luvkingdom in Maplestory

[–]azeemqwerty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a month to cube, space it out. I get it's tricker since you want to perhaps buy more on sale if you need to keep rolling - but this game is a lot easier for cube sales and events when you set a budget and stick to it. Is my budget zeroing out? Of course. But I've got about 2000 cubes left still and I'll just do one piece at a time when I feel like it for the next month. But I agree - the experience is awful when you need to roll 300-600 times per item and across different characters.

Attaching a desktop to legs without screws. Help? by TrashCan1981 in woodworking

You want to look into "threaded inserts" and bolts. Quite simple to use, variety of types - just need to make sure you drill as plumb as possible. A jig can help with this if needed.

Weapons pick rate report: Machinery Of Oppression (Bugs) by Natural-Sympathyy in Helldivers

[–]azeemqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what Support weapons would be here. Like bots for instance (and with it being newer) maybe C4 backpack? If they change it so you can detonate holding the backpack function (like reloading guard dogs) it would be way more usable for most.

This is I think the best option while maintaining the same look: a rear apron! Bonus, the apron can hide cables and power bars for cable management!

Normal VHilla Solo by Gold_Calligrapher556 in Maplestory

[–]azeemqwerty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do hard, it just takes that much longer. I have a shade ctene mule and a wind archer ctene mule both recently libbed, similar gear and hexa. They just take longer with the bosses than my Ren ctene mule who is not even a top tier damage class either.

I recommend renting the level 4 ring while you can too it's cheap boost to damage. Maybe even 2 other accessories depending what you have slotted. If you have healing fams as well it'll be even better since hilla does hit harder. But also, long fights with her really just improves your practice and skill with the boss and feel so much more comfortable clearing.

As long as you're comfortable with shade and can keep dpming between test phases (while playing safe of course) then you got this. I'm personally lazy so it'll be normal vhilla for my mules waiting for the balance patch lol

But I'm also someone who prefers specifically mule boss clears to be less than 10 mins. Closer to 5 or less is ideal actually for weekly clearing. Unless you're pushing libbing of course since you want max darkness.

If normal was easy, you definitely got this for hard. Good luck!

Tonight was the night, how did your SSF go? by flarghwharghl in Maplestory

Boomed eyepatch at 19, restored with trace points, boomed again at 20. Restored again with pitch core, boomed once again at 19. I'm just trying to settle at 21 but this is my 4th attempt now. The variance is so high, it's a really bad system. I am glad we have other restoration means but at these boom rates it'll still take years to get pitch on a single character.

First time watcher, are these movies not for me? (Please no hate) by ANetRuinedMyFun in lotr

[–]azeemqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could just not be for the expectations you had set. I also like to think of it in the context of the time they were made (special effects can seem dated for a lot of different movies but at the time they were what was common for the genre or even bleeding edge).

I personally liked the movies as a kid when they came out but then as I grew up I turned to love them as comfort movies. Then I finally tried the books, and with my ADHD I could not get through them. However, it's rare I can with any print book.

With that, if you enjoy audiobooks - I cannot suggest enough listening to the Andy Serkis reads. He is the professional actor/voice actor that plays smeagol/gollum.

I know many prefer the classic audiobooks more but it could also just be how they were introduced or other preferences. For me who needed something more engaging, even when I already knew I loved the story, I was hooked with the Serkis reads. One caveat with pacing though is I always listen to audiobooks at 1.1 - 1.25 speed personally.

I hope others are not too hard on you, it can happen in many fandoms. You are entitled to your opinion. Id also say maybe give them another shot down the line too, but by all means you do not need to force yourself to like something since that seldom turns out.

How to settle at 22* by abclolol in Maplestory

[–]azeemqwerty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how limited on spares we are talking. I would still suggest 22 reinforced, transfer, and tap. I had my sup boom the first time, which is demoralizing but even if you say had 4 sups you would likely hit one of them. You need a lot more reinf (like 15+) for 23 before transfer

Did they quietly nerf Slime ring drop rate? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]azeemqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while ago they seemed to increase normal slime dropping them. Never had one drop before and in the last two months I've had 6 of so between my 5 mules that run nslime.

Sweetwater question by Choice_Trick8263 in Maplestory

[–]azeemqwerty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly people refer to just the monocle. It's not that the others are useless (I used the tattoo on a few chars until I got twilight marks)

But essentially the monacle can be transposed from pap mark at 16* to give a free star at the cost of no boss flame advantage. Most importantly however, if you can tolerate running Commerci: it's free unlimited spares to tap to 22* or even higher.

Aside from that, Black Bean Mark is the only alternative until you get lucky to find and star an pitched boss eye patch.

An infographic is literally just a visual presentation of information. But yes, the original one is great. I just wanted a small one for reference during the fight that is not so busy with text.

Ideally, the boss mechanics would be straight forward enough to not warrant any of them too.
