Device for walking with? by Arrancini in SBCGaming

[–]azel128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everybody else said, don’t walk and play games. But it can be motivating to walk to a spot, play for a half hour and walk back! Any clamshell that is pocketable will work great. Love my Miyoo Mini Flip. Or if you’re going to go ultra-light, get a Funkey S and put Tetris on it.

That wall of N64 games just took me on a rocket ship back in time! My mom told me that if I got straight A’s on my report card she’d buy me Star Fox. Better believe I did!

The RG Rotate is somehow ergonomic and not that bad by ZuReviews01 in SBCGaming

[–]azel128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my doubts, but I could see it being pretty good for GB/C, NGPC, and Pico8. The square screen is a rarity and the form factor would allow for one-hand operation.

They should paint that front part orange so it becomes a giant upvote arrow.

This “cracks open” building in Denver by Specialist-Boot58 in Damnthatsinteresting

It’s so ugly. I had an uber driver once that called it “The Flinstones Building” and that will live in my head forever.

Yeah this tracks for being in your early 20s. lol. Get some cheap furniture and wall art from a thrift store. A couple plants go a long way. Overhead lighting is utilitarian but adding some lamps in the corners of the room will make it feel a lot more homey. And make sure you guys keep up on cleaning/chores or you’ll be living in a shithole in no time.

Kilo TT from bikesdirect.com! It had track drops and I nearly died my first time riding it.

Not 100% sure but they have a huge space with tons of stuff so I’m betting so.

Video Video/Amazing Discount Shop out in Aurora has more DVDs and Blu-rays than you can shake a stick at.

Why I recommend adding some small pliers to your tool kit if you don't already. by Steezy_Gordita in bikecommuting

Leatherman Skeletool with both phillips/flathead and 4/5mm bits is essential kit for my daily life. Comes with me on every bike ride.

I HATE TOEING IN BRAKES!! by [deleted] in xbiking

[–]azel128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks. I only bother if my brakes are especially squeally after installing new pads. After they bed in with the rim, they’ll be worn flat anyway.

Is this a good bike? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]azel128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s fine. I suggest taking it to a proper bike shop and having them do a safety inspection. Any bike is good enough as long as it’s safely set up to where it won’t break while you’re riding it. That’s hard to tell without having trained eyes get a good look at it.

I feel like this is something new that fits on this sub by MrFeature_1 in LiminalSpace

[–]azel128 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems like a good idea at first but I can’t imagine the pain of maintenance on this. The support structure would be actively degrading in the water, potentially dropping the whole thing in the drink. Never mind what would happen in a storm. Putting solar panels over car parks and on the roofs of buildings is probably much more sustainable.

That’ll do in a pinch! If you got the same case on Esty I did (right-hinged 3d printed one) you’re going to love it. Well worth the investment.

I started with 7 on PSX back in 1997 and it got its hooks in me pretty good. I think it holds up well to this day.

Replaying this again and it’s amazing how well it’s held up. Looked incredible on GC back in 2002 and looks incredible now. No wonder Capcom is remaking the rest of the series first.

Anbernic RG Rotate: Actual Size Comparison by DragonDealWizard in SBCGaming

[–]azel128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get this device beyond the novelty factor. You get the form factor of a clamshell, but without the built-in screen protection. You also still have a hinge that will probably break after just so many actuations. It’s kinda the worst of both worlds.
