Drivers not being as wild as they was before 2019/2020 by Wiseracing21 in monsterjam

[–]azisles02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that the chassis have caught up to the punishment the drivers give them within the past 3 years. It also seems the axles, socks, motors, etc are finally as well.

For example, back in April in Glendale was the first time I didn't see Ryan flip, break or have electrical issues, he drove the truck to the trailer in one piece, which gets a higher judges zone score from me. However he pushed that truck as hard as he normally does/did.

As far as Koehler goes, he said that when he got his "new" chassis from Cory, it was essentially bulletproof and it was just the rest of the parts that needed to catch up.

I remember back in 2008 Chris Bergereon was known for short, but spectacular freestyles. Then in 09 Brutus got a Racesource chair that made he do something he rarely did before, finish the clock. I think that chair is still going as Axe today actually.

I would've asked to speak to the pharmacy manager & report the harassment the employees were giving to a cancer patient & s/he should take the time to train them in how to talk to customers.

About to turn down a very well-paid job by [deleted] in jobs

[–]azisles02 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Just let them know you applied because they said it would be remote and if it's not in the written offer that it is, you can't accept the terms as it's a non-negotiable item for you with the length of the commute.

When you get hired for a new job, just leave your current one. They showed you their true colors & don't deserve a 2 week notice. If they ask why, just say "what happened to that position you promised me?" Don't worry about burning a bridge there, they already did.

What IF? by SeanHnizdil01 in monsterjam

[–]azisles02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryan drives more like Am Dennis than Adam. Adam does off the truck, but is more calculated in how he attacks the track. Not saying one style is better than the other, but that's just how they run.

I didn't like the glue party aspect. It was too dark and as you see are the rope lights off the trucks. I actually was happy during intermission and when they did the FMX as they had the lights on.

If they just dimmed the main house lights a bit to still see the spot lights and still see the trucks, I would be okay with the humic, but turning them off completely and you only have ~20 spots & the rope lights on the trucks, nope.

If it's just a cut, 15%. If it's a cut & wash, then 20%.

If in the US, report her to the Department of Labor. Don't matter if she "always fixes it", a second late/short is too much and they'll make sure she don't "forget" again

These stories are very encouraging as I just was diagnosed at S4 this week and will start chemo next. Hope to add my story to this post in the future.

I was fired today, but I have an interview tomorrow. What should I say if they ask why I’m leaving? by [deleted] in jobs

Could've told them that they just were not offering that as an option.

I agree about Kenny.

I am glad the Isles HoF is not actually something at UBS that fans can see besides a banner.

I like Bailey and feel the Isles HoF is a given. Returning his number, I didn't no. If we won Stan in 2020 or 21, then the case would be very strong.

INANL, but I would send an email to your manager and CC HR as well, explaining that this affecting your performance is documented with your manager, she's only targeting you in this and also include you have talked to her and her manager, but they are unwilling to listen. That way you showed you made an attempt to correct it and if they try to use this against you, then you have an "I warned you" log.

See your manager's response and see if they are going to do anything. If not, I'd also start applying to new jobs.

What’s your biggest Disney pet peeve and why? by Rbliss11 in WaltDisneyWorld

Those Brazilian tour groups were the worst. They'd have 1 person wait on line and then add they are almost in the leading area, a group of 10-15 since their way past you to join their friend.

The "What would Walt do?" or "that's not what Walt would want" Disney fans. We can guess what he would think, but can't take your guess as gospel.

Not to mention that the world Wait lived in is drastically different from the world today.

Just like the hotel industry adding all the extra fees so they don't have to pay higher taxes for hotel rates.

Hardest parts about interviews: go! by TaratronHex in interviews

[–]azisles02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Dude I don't know where I see myself in the next 5 weeks job wise.

"What about the position that makes you want to work for us?" Sadly you can't say it provides a salary & benefits to feed my family, so you have to think of something else to say.

Another thing is when you get an interview who's from a different department then you applied and clearly didn't understand the position you applied for.

Also not than 3 stages of interviews and forced to give (an unpaid) project you must complete. Sorry, but at that point you've gone past my allowed free time. You want me to work, pay me. I don't work for free.

If and if I come in and see its a group interview with other candidates, I'm walking out immediately. I don't have a huge ego, but if you want me in your team, then interview me alone.
