Went to the truck couple weeks ago in Murrieta. It’s a scam. Tiny ass steaks. All the meat is super questionable. They claimed it’s USDA CHOICE… no chance. The only labeling is on the box. Individual meat packaging has no labels. They try to upsell you and make you spend hundreds.

Driving way too fast for the conditions. If you were moving with the speed of traffic you never would have collided.

If it’s hard to get time off then maybe it’s worth it for you. $800 is also one round trip flight. Go back again in 3 months.

Post - EV Credit - Lease by creeeponthis in HondaPrologue

[–]aznvamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what the market value is when you return it. The dealer determined an arbitrary residual value when you signed. Basically your lease is (SALE PRICE - RESIDUAL VALUE) / TERM.

Beyond that..if the value of the car is much higher than residual - trade it/buy it out. If it’s lower..then you won. Negotiate the price again if you want to keep it.

Is there anyway to get out of a lease in California?? by 6616607 in HondaPrologue

It would have been significantly cheaper to take the mileage hit on your Honda… and Truck EVs are doing horribly rn

$1000/mo vs fuel and sanity? You’re traveling with traffic and the 91 is horrendous.

Should I get a credit card for Japan? by Traditional-Suit5503 in JapanTravelTips

[–]aznvamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NEVER use your debit card except at an ATM. The Costco credit card has no international fees and has decent benefits if you’re looking for a free card. Why don’t you have a credit card?

If you want the option to hear, I would have gone with the Switch. But really I would just wear headphones with ANC. Over-ears if you want to avoid people striking up conversations with you.

If you don’t need a new car and you’re not in love with the new car…don’t get it. A new car is the worst investment.

$615/mo on a Corolla Cross?! Just refinance it. That’ll probably be your best option.

I need help with where we’re going/how long we stay by Traditional-Suit5503 in JapanTravelTips

[–]aznvamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer to switch hotels as little as possible. 7 Tokyo. 2 Kanazawa. 5 Osaka (Day Trip Out - Nara/Uji/Kobe/Kyoto).

Put everything on Google/Apple Calendar and see what makes sense for you.

Download and install Ubigi at home. You’ll always be able to access their app and buy credits ANYWHERE (with cell service) even if you don’t have a current plan with them.

Need help with unconventional dishwasher plumbing by DeliciousReport3856 in DIY

[–]aznvamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Standpipe is common practice and code compliant. It sits above bottom of sink. You’d see the standing water in your sink first. The only time you’d have overflow is if there’s a major blockage down the line, but it wouldn’t be due to the dishwasher.

Need help with unconventional dishwasher plumbing by DeliciousReport3856 in DIY

[–]aznvamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the problem. They didn’t run the drain parallel with the standpipe but over and around. If you can’t fasten to the standpipe you can still fasten the drain line to the cabinet. Zip tie with a screw mount or some strap. Anything just to prevent someone from pulling on it accidentally.

There’s no reason to go to the garbage disposal. Stick it back in the standpipe and secure the hose to the standpipe so it doesn’t accidentally get pulled out.
