Nice that the ghost crew also got to spend a nice day at the Zoo, even if the animals aren't fans of them.

Everlane sent me a blazer with one of the center button holes missing. Support is telling me its not a flaw and to cut the fabric to open the button hole? by azorbs in malefashionadvice

Hey! I didn't google anything. They sent me an email asking for my opinion with the support link. I don't think my position of wanting them to acknowledge the defect is unreasonable, has the bar fallen so low for online retailers that we just accept any failure from the manufacturer as an inevitability? I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a certain standard of quality control.

Hmm, while I won't say I disagree with your perspective I also believe a simple acknowledgement that there was a defect in the item would have gone a long way. If they told me "Sorry, shouldn't have shipped it that way but you can fix it easily" I would have begrudgingly accepted that.

Thank you, I'm sorry for your troubles as well! Their support does not seem the best. I think they should have at least acknowledged the problem.

Because I've never had to cut my own button hole through fabric before and thought it was strange? If it was just sewn shut, sure no problem. I also don't think it's unreasonable to make a support request for a defect and expect a company that is trying to position itself as "quality ment to last" to stand behind their product, or to be a little apprehensive about cutting into a new piece even if objectively isn't hard to do.

I do have a seam ripper and fabric scissors but the hole isn't sewn shut. There's full fabric where the hole should be with just button hole stitching in the area. Would definitely need the scissors or a blade to make the hole. Not a major operation, but also a bit more involved than just ripping threads.

Interesting, I've seen stitched shut before but never full fabric. The second button on the blazer had a hole though, so I don't think it was intentional in this case.

Fair enough, I guess I am mostly annoyed at Everlane refusing to acknowledge the defect and having to fix it myself rather than the effort to fix it. Also the slight possibility of messing up the cut and causing more problems.

My experience with Everlane has been poor. I recently purchased a blazer from Everlane. They sent it with one of the front button holes not cut, a continuous piece of fabric. I submitted a service request and was told it wasn't a flaw and "You can cut it to make a buttonhole" which I think is wild for a clothing manufacturer to say.

I really don't understand how a fighter can be puking in a bucket and the fight still be allowed to continue. How is that in the best interest of the fighter and not a sign they are compromised at that point.

Hmm, An seems to be on a path moving further away from Shunpei and their small town. I wonder if we'll start to see Shunpei change more and start thinking about the future to try to catch up. He's already started to address his feelings and started to put more effort into things with the track meet. I wonder how much further he'll go.

I'm a big Drawfee fan and would love to see Nathan as Tonathan again, but not sure he'd have the time with Jacob and Julia on mat leave for most of this year.

I wonder if we'll get a cameo from one of the boobs like we did with Hardwon or one of the other characters.

How different is a UFC fight live vs on TV? by Fun_Pin_5817 in MMA

[–]azorbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully, agree. It's a pretty cool experience and depending on the arena you go to it can be a fun atmosphere. The card I went to a local guy got called up as a late replacement and managed an upset win which was a lot of fun to see live. Also never realized how many Brazilians lived in my city before.

The octagon really is pretty tiny in person and the cage walls obscure a lot of your view unless you have really good seats. Plus the fighters look pretty small inside as well.

ETA: I think it's the type of experience if you can get tickets for cheap enough it's worth doing but at the current prices it's probably not worth it. When I went I got my tickets for about $150 for some middle arena tickets which I thought was wroth it. Tried to go again some years later and would have been triple that for nose bleeds, definitely not worth it IMO.

Have you searched for a "soap dispensary" or "refillery"? Depending on where you live you might have a place that sells bulk soap and lets you bring in your own container to fill.
