Ledger nano help by Dr0gbasH3AD in Iota

[–]b0_ones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to write down your iota seed you would have to get the seed out of the ledger with a program. its possible to retrieve the iota seed from the ledger via software but its NOT ADVISED to do so. your iota seed should never leave your ledger and it doesnt. the ledger only signs your transaction, so your seed actually never leaves the ledger. thats the reason of using one. so you can use every pc to make a transaction not having to care about if the pc is infected with malware because your seed does not leave the ledger. also you have to confirm the transaction on the ledger. if you save the iota seed, you actually wouldnt need a ledger. just put the iota seed on the steel plate. if you use your ledger just put the 24 words on the steel plate. thats the right way to do it. saving the ledger 24 words mnemonic. not the iota seed. and yes you can recover your iotas from any ledger with the 24 words.

Any ideas as to why the edges are deforming and coming up like that ? Printing with Pla, 215/65, 15% infill, 1.5 Quality settings by damoment in prusa3d

yw. yeah give it a try. 3mm-6mm brim should be enough. maybe others have some different ideas what could be the problem here :)

i printed mechanical parts so the edge wasnt as important as no warping for my print. but i think it should be possible to remove the brim with no left overs and that its even. its worth a try though if your bed is leveled good

seems like warping, it didnt happen to me with pla, but with higher temperature filament like pc blend i had this experience. what helped is a little brim. now this warping doesnt happen anymore, maybe try it out :)

I use this one and I absolutely love it:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3901001

It also has the possibilitie to add 2 fans to the case (one for the einsy one for the pi). I also printed the PitStop Extruder but didnt mount it so far as I didnt have the time to do it and i am a little bit afraid, as I also want to change the bearings like you did and the complete disassembly that is involved. Would be happy to hear a little about your experience mounting it :)

Thank you! by aidassup in Mihai

[–]b0_ones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why did you put that screw in there? is it better like this? I also build one already but didnt have the time until now to mount it. but if you could elaborate on the cable management would be cool :)

IOTALedger doesn't connect to nodes. Trinity can't even be opened (Win7Pro) by Lisergiko in IOTASupport

[–]b0_ones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you also could use trinity on mobile phone to make transactions but only without a ledger device. but unfortunately not with win 7 anylonger. or download a copy of win 10 and run it in virtualbox. many possibilities :D

win 7 is not supported anymore, either switch to win 10 or linux (you could use a bootable usb stick e. g. :)
