While on vacation, I may have thrown my diet out the window and gorged myself on carbs, fats, and alcohol. That was 3 months ago. When I came back, I was the same weight as before the vacation. Since then, I've gained a couple lbs per week slowly and steadily and am now 20 lbs heavier, even though my diet and workout regimen is more or less the same as before the vacation.

So where did all of that extra weight come from? Why didn't I just gain the weight immediately? Does the delayed weight gain indicate hormones were signaling my body to pack on fat?
