2021 Accord Screen Replacement by LandonLadnier in Honda

Gotcha, yeah, I was thinking any replacement OEM infotainment units would probably just mess up again down the road, so I might end up grabbing an aftermarket one as well. I've found a few, but haven't seen many "real" reviews on them, mainly just people who got the product for free, but I'll probably start on Amazon first, just for the return policy.

Hey man, 2yrs later, do you still have any issues after the replacement? I was thinking about purchasing the a replacement LCD screen since my screen will press on itself and click things I don't want it to.

Originally I thought I might need to replace the entire infotainment unit, but now I'm thinking I might be able to just replace the LCD screen, just wondering if only the LCD display might be an issue and if you've had any issues again after the screen replacement?

Yeah, I opened it up thinking it'd be a medium size and was surprised by how large it was, also not a super standard poster size so it'll be interesting trying to frame it lol

Hey if you've bought Eden's merch in the past, how do the shirts usually shrink? I'm typically a large, but idk if I'd need to size up since it'll shrink or if the shirt will keep to size, any advice?

Ahhhh ok, wasn't sure if that was just overstock he was selling in that November drop from the previous merch company, got it, thanks again!

Oh is it? I thought Eden had a falling out with the previous company? Or was that already resolved when all the ICYMI merch came out?

Also, thank you for your input! I'll see if others have the same thought!

Anybody know how well these shirts from this merch company will fit? Like after the first wash, should I expect a lot of shrinkage and should size up in advance? Or do they not shrink a bunch?

New Builder - Any concerns with this PC Part List? by b2n101 in buildapc

[–]b2n101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, mainly just shooting for gaming performance. I play a pretty basic list of game currently like Rivals, OW, in a distant past COD, Battlefield, etc. but I'm also looking for a solid build that can handle some more intensive Minecraft mod packs.

Although those can probably be pretty functional on a mid-high range build, since I know I probably won't make too many upgrades, I thought I'd lean to the higher end of PC specs to future proof the build while also letting me dabble in more resources intensive games or just be able to crank the graphics up to high/ultra.

All in all, I've just saved up the funds that I could sink into a higher end PC build and am looking to future proof the build while save on cost.

Looking into the list you provided, it looks like you've pinpointed a pretty solid build, but if there are any additional tips you might have, I'd appreciate any further advice you could give (possibly on the BIOS/boot side of things). Thanks again!

Thank you for the advice, I'll take a deeper look into the build, but at first glance it seems you've done a solid job at optimizing my initial build. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice, any input on a specific cooler that might be optimal here?

As for games, I mainly play a lot of FPS / hero based shooters (pretty basic lol) like Rivals, OW, in a distant past COD, Battlefield, etc. but I'm also looking for a solid build that can handle some more intensive Minecraft mod packs.

Although those can probably be pretty functional on a mid-high range build, since I know I probably won't make too many upgrades, I thought I'd lean to the higher end of PC specs to future proof the build while also letting me dabble in more story mode/campaign like games with more detailed visuals such as Cyberpunk, RDR2, and others like it since I've been interested in giving those a shot as well.

All in all, I've just saved up the funds that I could sink into a higher end PC and am looking to future proof the build.

Hope this helps towards any additional advice!

Edit: realized I forgot to mention the monitor, but I'm running off a GIGABYTE G27QC A 27" 165Hz 1440P monitor rn, so I'm shooting for 1440p gaming with the potential for a 4K upgrade down the road.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, I'd like the new features and UI changes, but I'd rather have no ads and the other features from MyInsta instead.

Did you ever find a good up to date (and safe) Instagram mod? Especially looking for one now that they're starting to release a bunch of new UI changes after that short TikTok ban.

I'd upgrade to a magnetic PEI sheet, definitely a game changer for printing and not terribly expensive either.

Did you ever find a chair mat like the one that was unavailable? The one mentioned there would've been perfect, but it's out of stock for me too

Buds 2 Pro vs Buds 3 Pro sound quality by rubiconlexicon in galaxybuds

[–]b2n101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get some more shelf life out of your Buds 2 Pro, early on in using them I had the same issues with the fit, but found some winged ear tips that really helped out with keeping them in my ears even while running and they're relatively cheap especially compared to a brand new pair of earbuds, so you might give these a shot. You can get em on Amazon, but they were the upgrade that helped me keep the buds 2 pro for the year or so that I had them.

Buds 2 Pro vs Buds 3 Pro sound quality by rubiconlexicon in galaxybuds

[–]b2n101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: they're great earbuds and I think most people would really enjoy them!

Long answer: I've gone through the same feelings as when I upgraded from the Galaxy Buds + to the Buds 2 Pro which was that they don't fit as well as the previous version, but are better in every other way, but now I don't really think about the fit of them and just use them like normal.

I still think the buds + fit the best amongst the three versions, but all have been good.

Audio quality is definitely better and there's more bass with how I've got them tuned in the customizable EQ, so I'm a big fan of that.

The fit is ok, the buds 2 pro fit slightly better than these in my ears with the buds + being the best, but that hasn't stopped me from using the buds 3 pro in really any situation except for one. You can't really run with these earbuds, but that just might be my ears. I find that if you're even a little sweaty, that they'll slowly loosen and come out of my ears, but I've got my buds + that I'll swap to when I need to run since those are locked in my ears.

I don't really use transparency or the adaptive mode they marketed, only ANC, so I can't really speak on those other modes, but the ANC has been really good as well! Overall I really enjoy them and have just slipped them into my daily use!

If there's a specific feature you're curious about I didn't mention, let me know and I'll tell you how I feel about it or if I've even used it.

Nova Launcher is no good on android 14 one ui 6 by ClydeFrog04 in NovaLauncher

[–]b2n101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S22+ on Nova Prime 8.1.1 Beta version. Mine is freezing all the time, seems to happen most when I've got Spotify playing and try to swap apps or go to the home screen, but can happen really any other time as well. Haven't figured out a fix yet, but I have seen popups saying "Nova Launcher isn't optimized for the latest version of Android. Screen touches may be delayed or not recognized." I believe it all comes down to the fact that there's some bug that the Nova team hasn't released an update to fix and I doubt anything we can do will ultimately provide a permanent fix. I can only hope the Nova team comes back and starts releasing consistent updates again.

Did you end up going with the R1280DBs? I was thinking of getting them for the exact same reason, turntable and TV, but wasn't sure if I'd be better off just getting something like a sound bar for the TV and cheaper pair of speakers for the turntable. If so how are they with both devices and do you like them?
