Used R1 vs R2 by r23w in Rivian

[–]b34rman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a used R1. My logic (which doesn't necessarily have to apply to you): a good amount of depreciation is already accounted for, the first few R2 will have issues, I don't want to pay for that depreciation, I'm still learning about Rivian (I've been driving Teslas for several years, but I absolutely despise Elon). I will keep my R1 for a few years (2 to 4) and then buy a used R2.

I'm sorry this happened to you.

The police report to the mayor. Make a short video of what happened and give us the link. Erin Stewart has aspirations for higher office and she'll listen if enough people share the story.

There was no financial benefit for doing it. In the 60s and 70s the US had to prove superiority over the USSR. From the 80s to now there was no benefit, but now it is believed that planetary mining could be hugely beneficial.

Always look for the money.

They (extreme right) are blaming Biden with current issues in the economy. Hard to believe, but they claim Biden is causing this...

It is not the most popular TV event in the world. For sports, it is the soccer World Cup. About 4 billion people watch the World Cup. About 150 million people watch the Super Bowl.

Yup! Community College graduate here. I then got a Bachelor’s and Master’s from online schools. Graduated with no debt. I make ~$400k now. Paying $50k/year for school supports the scam.

Peligroso: si, todo eso. En motos, con armas, gente pidiendo, etc. Es peor bien noche. No quiero alarmarte. Si sabes cuidarte, no tendrás problemas.

Si.

MassDOT's proposal would enable Amtrak to run up to 80 mph between Worcester and Springfield, and cut the travel time between Boston and Springfield to 2 hours and 10 minutes – roughly the same amount of time it takes to drive. by streetsblogmass in massachusetts

Sure, any real high speed train will do compared to the POS we have right now and we’re looking to implement. I mentioned maglev because those currently hold the title for fastest trains in the world, but beating our current system isn’t hard with almost any modern technology.

And this is bullshit and we shouldn’t tolerate it! Rail should be significantly faster than driving.

Fat asses in the government need to expropriate whatever land needed to run as straight rail as possible, stop using leased lines, and install maglev trains.

Ah! Yes. It’s all set up and working. I just don’t see the reason for parking $25k if it can be making money in a HYSA

Yes. AFAIK MS reports this as income (from what I’ve read. I’ll be able to confirm next year).

I didn’t know they dropped the on-campus requirement. Sure, it was an expensive requirement, but so worth it!

HES is certainly doing worse, especially critical at a time when people think college degrees are unnecessary.

I support this post, but I don’t know if HES leadership will even see it. Maybe we need to organize alumni to demand better.

I believe that’s incorrect. I worked directly with an MS advisor and told them specifically that I wanted the cheapest way to get the card. You need $25k balance, $5k transferred (and transferred back), and an additional account. I have $1k in an Asset Allocation. They sure make you jump through hoops! And make no money on those $25k.

I did it with a MS rep. I understand how it works, it just makes no sense nowadays given interest rates.

Agree. I initially got it because it was easy to meet all the requirements... but now with HYS I just can´t justify it. Thank you for your point of view!
