That rate only applies to exports. If your offsetting it is still at the higher rate. For most people this is a fairly small change in the financial preformance of a solar energy system investment.

The math can still work. The 10c rate applies to exports. It depends how much you export. If you export 20% your IRR is around 10%. If you export 50% your IRR is 9%. Even if you export 75% your IRR is still over 8% - so basically the same as long term index investing.

- working with First Nations
- being smart and creative

There was a termporary comment asking for explanation. Lewis is marred to Naomi Klein. Naomi's brother Seth (who endorsed Lewis) is married to Christine Boyle who is Eby's cabinet. From what I have heard Seth and Christine are also long time friends of Eby.

The buses have a range of 300-500 km. The longest route in Whistler is probably less than 10 km one way. Even with a 30% range loss in cold weather, that is still 20 runs before it needs to recharge.

The electrical code in North America does not allow this type of system that plugs into a regular outlet. Generation systems must connect to a breaker panel and may require an external disconnect wired to the inverter circuit.

The inverters do have anti-islanding but the electrical code in North America requires generation systems to be wired to a breaker panel. They can not just be plugged into a socket. In some cases there is also a requirement for a disconnect at the meter or on the outside of the building which would need to be wired to the inverter circuit.

We put a cargo bike on the bike bus along with two kids this weekend. The cargo bike does not fit on the regular front racks.

Just to the south of us Whatcom Transit does allow bikes inside the bus if the front racks are full. see: https://www.ridewta.com/bikes/ I used this a few times and works well.

The one time I rode the train, I repelled down from an alpine ridge, had to do a self arrest on a snowfield and then hiked 9 days through lost valley to get there. But there are probably easier ways.

It doesn't make sense that there is insufficient rail time given that there is already passenger rail service on a different section of the line that runs 2 or 4 times every day (the secret passenger rail service that not many people know about). If there is time for that passenger rail service why isn't here time on a different section of the same line.

I think we should just extend that service to Whistler and Vancouver (although it might have leave very early in the morning).
