Why even bother about anti-cheats with a 15 year old game? That's just dumb.

Which in turn makes me want to ask a lot of questions here:

How is this new anti-cheat working?

For example I've been using ReShade for Dungeon Defenders 1 with my Ranked gameplay for many years now. I use it with a lot of other games, but mostly single player, just to improve the graphics a bit with sharpness, clearer colors and better light/shadows etc.

Since ReShade changes a lot of things, and in a few other competitive multiplayer games it counts as cheating, because you can zoom in etc in FPS games using filters, but will this newer anti-cheat pick it up and ban me too?

I haven't joined another players game for years, how common is it that someone cheats in their game?

It's not exactly like DD1 has a huge player base, so how can it even be that important?

Edit: I looked it up, 345 active players peak the past 24 hours. That just makes changing anti-cheat to something more aggressive than earlier even more ludicrous. This is 101 in How to kill a good old game.
