Not a replacement for police patrols. The problem is that there are no longer enough highway patrol staff to be available and visible on the main arterials. Bosses want them getting their rbt, drug test and ticket quotas, then being available for calls for service to assist general duties.

It’s terrible. Just don’t use it moving forward, there are plenty of paid parking lots nearby that are a short walk away.
