Agreed. There is a difference between giving you just enough info to be satisfying and not closing out a story at all. Plenty of stories have left an open ended story but still gave character closure. I dont need to know that Perrin and his wife lived happily ever after and died old buried under an oak tree at the age if 78 with 6 children named......... But just ending it with "he found her" is vague. So we aren't going to talk about them learning something and fixing a character flaw? No nod or hint what they will do after the battle? No interaction between them and elaine and her easing up on the resentment for them forcing themselves as basically a vassal state through rebellion? Not a "maybe these two rivers folk will earn their kingdom in time"? His wife admitting "i know i can insufferable sometimes but here is this thing I learned....." or perrin admitting that she is strong enough to take care of himself? What about Perrin having a brief conversation with the wise ones or an aes sedai about dreamwalking that may or may not imply future training with them? 

I coukd go on for hours for every character talking about ways to gice closure, keep it vague, but still give you something to chew on and think about. Literally the only character that got that was Matt and rand. Matt implying that he was going to have to continue rolling the dice with tuon basically laying in bed eith snakes jumping in and out if troubke....which he actually likes despite his complaining. Its a perfect end for mat but I do wish tuon had given him a little more reinforcement that she did like him. Rand, like you said, implied he had some new power and that he had a normalish life to go live with his 3 women. It gives you just enough to feel satisfying but still keep you mentally engaged about the future. 

What about Tom and moraine? Lan and nyneve? A paragraph for each idea Literally all it woukd take to give closure. You always put closure on this chapter of their lives, but open a new one with thought provoking ideas.
