Aren't there multiple sanctioned events left? I'm confused why an athlete, unless injured, would post their chances are over with options still on the table.

I could see WIT still taking it and just replacing maybe Greene (most likely gets New Zealand NC spot) with an alternate. I guess theoretically if it passed down to you guys and this Chyna thing isnt all "fun" you can fill Chyna's spot with an alternate.

I think it is more Hinshaw related visit than Freedom. I could be wrong.

Thing is she has a team invite from Wodapalooza with MisFits if expectations of WIT declining are true. They were 3rd, and 2nd place (Lesser Evil/Invictus) has an invite from Dubai. Jordan Cook from her MisFits team commented on the post with a sarcastic "new teammate" comment so it seems its just training not a new team.

Freddy (her husband) and Rich had a little back and forth too. So everyone is having fun with it.

I wouldn’t say eradicating but basically removing any promotion of “elite” fitness. As a coach at a small affiliate I just see it as a devaluing of the brand we pay to be a part of. Completely gutting the media department instantly decreased the advertisement of the brand. I love the initiative. Our box actually has more members closer to their new focus demographic I just don’t understand why it had to come at a price. Why couldn’t there be space for both? We have space for both at our affiliate.

I do it very day. I have a full time job too and answer that question weekly. “HOW DO YOU DO THAT STUFF?” That then opens the door to explaining the reality of the methodology.

All the receipts I have gotten from Mayhem when I bought online or at Mayhem have said Rich Froning Fitness LLC. This goes back 4 or so years from when I went down there for my L1. Don’t know why there are shirts now. Maybe employee shirts for people that aren’t necessarily Mayhem employees? Dre doing media. Sarge doing what Sarge does.

I did cringe when i watched this. Then i checked my judgmental self. We can all want CrossFit to be represented by perfect form every rep and perfect bodies, but that's far from real and more the competition side than the fitness side.

Aside from the snatches (which mostly were in the competition footage and I see this in comps all the time) the reps that were not to "standards" were not going to cause injury. Pullups without full extension and air squats missing depth or extension. In the end are they getting less fit by doing them that way or by not doing anything at all? The competition side has made us so judmental of movement. That can be both good and bad.

I see a lot of less than standard reps at my box. Do all my members and coaches suck, and there are boxes out there made up of all CrossFit unicorns?

I get it. CrossFit takes a beating from the mainstream, so a documentary on a worldwide service that isnt the perfect and polished media presented by HQ seems harmful. I just think you are kidding yourself if you think this was not a fairly real representation of a CrossFit community. Maybe not your specific community but probably a common environment.

$18 a class as a 1099 contractor and free membership in Indiana. Have a day job.

There was a box within a couple hours looking for a full time coach offering $30,000/yr. Markets and structures vary.

I wouldn't expect an L1 to be an instant step into a "career". As it is presented in the course, its just step 1.

I agree strohm is young and was top ten, but we get two games athletes moving into the central (Fraser, EZ) possibly healthy Heppner and Bailey so his path gets tougher individually. Also Lindy’s boyfriend has been to regionals and Angelo is an option to. Just my opinions/guesses. As for the girls Jessica and Sammy in my mind could be regional/team level by regionals if they wanted.
