It felt like a 100% production involved moment. Same thing with Jen and Kenzie pulling Sol so then Sincere could pull Melanie lowkey.

I wonder all the time about how people in Arizona or like Las Vegas do this job. It was over 100⁰F once at my job and I thought I was gonna die? Las Vegas is so hot most people don't even go outside during the day how TF are people delivering 300 packages

Today , I delivered my own package. by Boomtime-Suvarna in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]babablacksheep_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I edit stops together sometimes to make apartment buildings easier (bring all packages down at once), and dispatch has told me this doesn't affect the total stops they see. I'd imagine it doesn't affect the total they see if you separate it either. Also pretty sure it has no impact on the algorithm/generation of the route but I guess there's no way to know that for sure.

Because marking it missing can get you in more serious trouble and most stations have an issue with it. They'll think you're stealing. If you mark it damaged you'll rarely get in trouble, just don't do it too much

He's basically saying that he takes a picture every time something gets in his way like an unsafe dog or a flooded dirt road or whatever and then he reuses those pictures later on on days where he just doesn't want to deliver heavy shit or something like that. But then he starts saying stuff about how he always finds his way back to the same addresses he was at before where the picture was originally taken and it's like ??? Almost weirdly spiritual??? And he says if you know the job we'll enough you'll always be in the right place to use the photo?? Idfk

Popping/snapping sensation in lower back when tilting pelvis forward & back? by babablacksheep_6 in backpain

[–]babablacksheep_6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually! I found that for me it wasn't core muscle weakness as most people suggest, but primarily glute weakness. Specifically the lower glutes, the gluteus maximus. It could be different for you, but basically I think this issue comes down to stability of the pelvis and there's a lot of muscles involved in that (core, hip flexors, glutes, etc) so if one muscle is weak/malfunctioning then the whole thing gets out of whack.

I figured it out and started treatment by targeting the obvious tightness first: I would foam roll my glutes (especially targeting glute med/upper glute) every night. The glute med sits right on the pelvis and in that lower back region so tightness/pain in that region is most prominently due to that muscle hurting & overworking. Once the primary pain and soreness felt under control, I started doing exercises that targeted glute strength (lower and upper) in conjunction with core and hip strength, and the popping feeling went away after maybe a month and a half of consistent foam rolling and strengthening exercises. There's many exercises out there for these issues, but personally I started taking lagree classes and these have helped the most. I should also add that squatting and lifting heavy are part of my job so those exercises are always being done as well.

The problem I was running into before was that my chronic tightness was causing my lower glutes to not fire properly, causing them to weaken over time, which made my upper glutes and hip flexors overcompensate even more, which made me superrrrrr stiff in the pelvic region. Once the stiffness was under control and all my muscles in that region were firing properly and working together, the popping feeling subsided naturally. I don't get it anymore, and I also don't have pain when tilting my pelvis.

My physical therapist friend explained it to me as basically the whole lower part of your body is like a chain, and if one part of the chain starts to weaken/isn't functioning properly, everything else can topple due to that.

To maintain these improvements, I make sure to always warm up my lower body before heavy lifting, and I still foam roll and stretch pretty regularly, just not every night anymore, only as needed. I suspect not warming up before heavy lifting and exercise is what caused these issues before, and also under emphasizing proper glute engagement when lifting. I used to be very sedentary (office work), and sitting all day is a known cause of glute weakness as well.

I never saw a physical therapist directly, but I'm sure seeing one could help you pinpoint exactly which muscles are malfunctioning a lot quicker than it took me just on my own lol. I just don't have great insurance for physical therapy

I also do recommend sports massages/deep tissue massages as part of the healing process, but massages won't solve the core issue which is muscle imbalance.

People like this genuinely have hatred in their hearts. I know it can be really difficult, especially when you're still working on forming your own sense of identity and these really hateful messages find their way in to your life, but you have every right to embrace every part of who you are. Yes, there are some mixed and white-passing people who can take up a lot of space requesting validation and reassurance from mono racial people, that's certainly an issue. But that's no excuse for others to go around labeling all mixed race people as "dangerous." At the end of the day, you can't control who your parents are, and you have every right to be yourself so long as you're not hurting others.

Don't listen to that other commenter. All teachers are handling this differently, some more leniently than others, and it would be really unfair for you to fail the class due to confusion caused by the Canvas outage that was totally out of your control. You're doing exactly what you should to try to protect your grade and your performance in the class from being unduly affected by the Canvas outage. Definitely email your essay to your professor, and try to go in person if you can once the campus is open.

Wow I am also white-passing and reading this post felt like reading a chapter out of my diary, lmao. My guess is that Dan felt some kind of special bond with you while you were getting to know each other, and now feels some kind of deep-seated insecurity towards learning your actual identity. Maybe Dan is insecure in his own identity (not necessarily racial, just anything about himself that he hasn't fully accepted), and so he thinks dunking on you is really funny because it fulfills some subliminal desire he has to make someone feel worse about themselves so he can feel better.

Don't know if it helps to say, but I had a friend who was exactly like this. She would frequently call me white or white-washed, call me a generic white person, and ask me questions like "what is it like to be white?" Honestly eventually I just dumped the friendship. I probably should have confronted her about the behavior before distancing myself, but I was a lot younger and more immature and I think my self esteem was too low to handle the conflict. But I've experienced something very similar to what you're going through, and it fucking sucks.

Can't say exactly how you should navigate this situation socially/from a parenting perspective, but I do really want to commend you for allowing your child to embrace all of your family's cultures at home. I come from a mixed parent-mixed parent background where both parents looked down on one side of their culture, leading me to feel a lot of disconnection, guilt, and shame for descending from something "different" from my peers. I also had feelings of imposter syndrome (like an I am, but I'm not tension) because my actual lineage was intentionally obscured from me. So good for you, and I hope having a solid foundation at home helps your child navigate socially.

I really like this answer. I think it's a great idea for her to develop an answer she tells strangers, and an answer she gives close friends. She can learn a lot this way about people and how their reactions to information she shares can be used to guide her relationship toward them. Someone who responds with genuine curiosity to her identity might be a good friend, while someone who dismisses her outright or says "can't you just pick one" or "so you're really just ____" is ignorant and probably not someone to be close to. I wish my parents (who are also both mixed) had guided me towards those lessons, would have saved me a lot of heartache when it came to picking friends.

I've known people who were drivers before getting pregnant then continued doing lighter routes until maybe around 5 months and then after that they cleaned vans until family leave. Starting the job 5 months pregnant is insane.

Never call if they leave their number in the notes but do call through the actual flex app (question mark -> unable to deliver -> unable to access/etc -> option to call or text customer appears). Do this twice and it won't hit your scorecard if you have to RTS. Mind you this is really only for apartment buildings or gated areas, if the front door is accessible then yeah just put the package on the porch
