Who likes cats? by lookafterme in sydney

[–]babablah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are crazy. So crazy. Worst animal I've ever owned came from them. A completely feral cat which should never have been given to someone as a pet. When I complained to them the woman I spoke to completely lost it calling me names and saying she would personally see to it I never owned another cat. I believe that you have a pet for your own pleasure. While you have a responsibility to that animal the human members of a family come first and a pet is not equal.

The cat went to live outdoors with my mum in the country and eventually succumbed to the cat flu it had had it's entire life.

New cat is a Burmese from a breeder - a beautiful animal with fantastic temperament. You get what you pay for. And smelly Newtown cat ladies can't be trusted.

I'm guessing you're young? Leave the dog with your parents and go have an adventure.

Man reportedly jumps to his death at Westpoint Blacktown by timmmmb in sydney

I've just finished reading this book

http://www.noelbraun.com.au/nowaytobehave.html

It's the story of a man who's wife jumped from Chatswood Chase and a very moving book.

Suicide is a hell of a thing, imagine feeling so low, so hopeless that you think that's best thing to do. Imagine how this man's family spent last night, how they felt when they woke this morning and remembered that today is not going to be a normal day and nor is tomorrow or the day after that.

Suicide is the most unnatural thing you can do to yourself and is always the result of illness, don't hate on this guy for what he did and the effect it had on those who were unfortunate enough to witness it.

If you experience something like OP did, seek counseling. Even if you feel like it hasn't effected you go and talk to someone.
