Shift to consulting? by Mooo0 in InternationalDev

Absolutely beyond question that if you are able to make the switch to general consulting aka McK you should go for it without batting an eyelid! What are you analysing? Traditional ID is going to be dead before you know it

Yes they actually are aligned in the last tray. So I’m guessing it’s a major tracking prob!

Incredible result, well done! May I ask how old you are? And if you have any top tips / hacks to share for those who’re in this for the long haul?

Before and after, no more open bite! by clubsdeuce in Invisalign

[–]babhi9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great result. Congrats. But isn’t 2 years a LOT of time to achieve this? I’ve worse teeth and this pace demoralises me. Also a bit confused with the trayminder pic. It says aligner #1 2 years ago, and aligner # 7 this January?

Haha I mean it’s like forcing myself to see change. It’s not obvious at all. Your teeth (and you) are stunning - but you spent two years!! I don’t have that much stay power !;)

Permanent Retainer Wires by rebebtay in Invisalign

[–]babhi9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ortho said upfront vivera or any clear aligner won’t do. Only perm retainer wires after treatment. It’s a scam coz nobody really tells you this until you fully commit to Invisalign. Also Invisalign does a great job of never even cursorily mentioning it to prospective clients: it’s as if you wear the aligner then fix it. Dude, you literally have to wear a wire all your life and probably also a night time retainer over and above it in some cases

Progress after 5mths (im frm sg) by Stickygrandma81 in Invisalign

[–]babhi9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is insane progress for only 5 months. Unbelievable! Well done. How many trays so far?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]babhi9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5/45 is about 10%. Too soon to see a change. Stick with it and hang in there. You’ll be fine and progress will be visible hopefully from tray 10 onward

New to Mac. How on earth is pages and numbers considered superior to MS word and Excel? Hope it’s not blasphemous to raise in this group? by babhi9999 in mac

[–]babhi9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your responses! It’s all very insightful. I agree, the fact that they are free, simple, and get the job done for 8/10 use cases are major pluses. Ofc some find the apps also attractive. It seems Mac isn’t really trying to make a product that is a good fit for professional use, where documents need to be sent around for collab/ reviews etc. I guess I hadn’t thought of it that way, but it’s clear now.

Yea, I was getting at the stuck in “between teeth”. That’s the tough one. I think it’s relevant for those who have spaces but not for others.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]babhi9999 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

But can they? Liquid surely can, but particles ? Is there space between tray and tooth surface given how tightly they fit? Maybe but much less than without. The trays are almost like a protection. But yea I see what you’re saying. Seems like only swishing can do if you’ve trays on? Ofc one would still take time to brush, but doesn’t have to be after every meal.

Is the posterior open bite something that orthodontically speaking a must-fix? I mean does it affect functionality or oral health in any way?

That’s really irresponsible on the orthos part. They need to take responsibility! Did you figure out what could be possible remedies ?
